This is going to be an interesting day.
Am hoping LG keep the screen size at 5.5inch, the removable battery and SD card slot, but add a fingerprint scanner, 1080p@60fps, and a proper slow-motion video recording mode.
And for the S7 I am hoping Samsung fixes the awful, awful, truly just awful battery life that plagued the otherwise great S6.
Also hoping that seeing as how both devices are going to be running Marshmallow out of the box, and therefore device encryption will be mandatory, that both come with some form of hardware based AES Encryption/Decryption engine some as not to slow down system performance (am not sure if either the SD820 or Exynos 8890 have such hardware included?)
If it is not the case then this may be more of an issue on the G5 than the S7, as I'd bet LG stick with eMMC memory, which is slower than Samsung's UFS.

And because it will be really a shame for Samsung to present it's flagship without the SD card slot for the second year. And so most probably yes I will switch to the LG G5. And like me/us there will be much much more, so it will be better for Samsung to re-include the SD card slot feature in the S7 & so on!!!!!

Well I have to admit that I'm really really waiting for the 21 (Feb) to arrive. Because it will be really exciting to see the S7 & G5 in the same day, and mostly which one will be the best?????? But in the same time I hope that they will announce them at a slightly different time of the day? Heqq because I want to see them being announced both live, otherwise it will be a bit confusing to see them simultaneously with 2 devices haha. I hope that both will be excellent, and finally I will buy the one that it will be the best of the two! (Hopefully with an SD card slot!? )

I bet LG G5 will be much better than Samsung S7 this year. Samsung lost their way in making Iphones clones, pumping the prices and aiming just for benchmark superiority. Come on LG, make our life good :)

Well samsung is also about their own new hw, so then lg should do the same to at lest catch up in hw part. Also I'm not friend of less pixels, so there is a chance if they try hard enough.

However if they shrink the screen size below 5.5" and DON'T have the removable battery on the bottom - it won't have much over the S7 & other OEMs - which won't make it stand out much - which could mean it won't be as successful as LG hope.
I'm gunning for them either way.
