BUT YES, Buttons should stay on the BACK it is genius...

Seems like LG is shifted to old fashioned way. I like the way LG keeps clean by placing all the button controls on the rear side which is unique. Now by seeing the leaks looks like they are placed on sides.

If you look closely, there are indications for some type of button slider on both sides of the case on the bottom close the the usb. Maybe these two cutouts are the slider locks for the magic slot.

phone with a weird two cameras. waste of hardware and efford. why would you use two cameras for an options that we didnt need after a long time? just like siri, 3d touch. its not like we want to make a true DSLR camera on a phone. that will never happen. come on guys

Here we go again 3000mah + 5.5" and no smaller flagship variant. LG forces us to stretch our thumbs. Thumbs down LG for ignoring peoples choices of a giant phone and a 5" , G4 Beat is a very weak smaller sibling of G4.

If they have moved away from the rear volume rocker and power, it's a tragedy. That was an inspired bit of design, and after using the G3 and G4 in addition to an S5 and various Blackberries for work I'm completely in favour of this placement.
A lack of them on the G5 could well be a deal breaker for me, I love the design so much.
