We wait and see the apple takes the... moreNo, when you compare mobile SoC in order to compare their performance you should always consider how long it kept the performance crown. Undoubtedly the A9 is a hell of a chip but it got dethroned in less than 6 months. If Qualcomm gets to keep the performance crown for more than 6 months that's Qualcomm's win. A year has 12 months so undoubtedly there will always be something new. Apple releases their products in the 2nd half whereas Qualcomm in the 1st half. Regards

AnonD-389222, 04 Feb 2016Having 3 times the cores doesn't mean 3 times the performan... morein all honesty this just proves how far android as an OS is realy pressing on hardware to enhance the abilities of phones and mobile computing as a whole. and the os has changed so much that it has now branched out to accommodate so many tasks and yet it remains so customisable. its a sad case when some companies choose to feed on a hand to mouth platform and nit even want to plant thier products property in the market. trully android will be a renowned platform in the future either as android or an iteration of it moded to suit the future needs. well played google trully outclassed the competition and they cant even see how this strategy will play out. a hand willing to give and gives is the hand that receives the most :)

According to notebookcheck adreno 530 and mali-t880MP12 have approximately the same scores with adreno 530 leading with 1 fps (49 vs 48) .

I still want to see if the 820 throttles or not. I know you can't compare a metal body iPhone and a plastic body Android in that case, so I'm hoping we will see a metal body Android with 820 soon.

But this 530 is really shaping up to be a monster, Ever since the 320, Qualcomm have really upped their game.

MP4 = 4 cores. But Exynos 8 Octa 8890 has MP12 =12cores. I don't know the speed in mate 8 but exynos has 700MHz. So if we multiply the results x3 at the same speed the truth is that Exynos is a bit better.
