It's specification is gud camera gud..

But in matter of software..UI features is worse

1) no multiple user
2)no call recorder even 3rd party apps not supported
3)no music equalizer
4)no motion gallery
5)no launcher
6)no fm recorder
7)editing notification shortcut, worse
8) low volume
9)charger heated up quickly,
In marshmallow update battery backup improved
10)time lagging while typing long msg
11) no advance calculator
13) net data controler worse in update, can't change date limit
14)in status bar, notification icon are very small
15) no regular updates

Finally worse mobile.. Alternate brand is much more better than honor at same price rate. It's emui is worse..

Batman, 05 Feb 2016The G8 has OIS, and the Bluetooth module supports Bluetooth... moreI am pretty sure Bluetooth LE was part of Bluetooth 4.0 - are you saying that a phone that is new is not capable of the LE sync with modern fitness trackers?

The Honor 5x looks to be a far better deal overall. Especially since Huawei/Honor have publicly declared that the Honor 5x will eventually receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the latest mediocre and disappointing EMUI 4.1 update. The inclusion of OIS and a slightly curvier design aren't worth another $150 in my opinion. This seems like a strange discontinuity between Huawei and Honor.

Anonymous, 05 Feb 2016Snapdragon 615 with a slow GPU. Crazy to buy this phone. It... moreTBH, I just bought a Honor 5x with the same SD615, and I have yet to feel it lag at all. I have been quite happy with it (outside of EMUI, which is a bit much for me - but I slapped NOVA on it and have been very happy). I think the main difference is the OIS - and that isn't worth $150 more.

                    wait a second . . . .

why would anyone buy this phone? the 5x is almost $200 cheaper, has the exact same soc, the exact same display (literally, the exact same, down to the 401ppi), the exact same ram/rom configurations (16gb/2gb & 16gb/3gb), and the exact same fingerprint sensor, microsd expansion capability, etc., etc., etc.!!!!!!!

                    wtf?!

the honor 5x and the gx8 are the exact same phone!!

am i missing something here?? seriously, check the specs of each device . . . . they are identical!!
