GO ahead buy this phone, its only one of the ugliest phones ive ever seen, i wouldnt buy it for a million dollars (ok maybe i would then throw it away after) The SE X10 is whats happening with the 8.1 MP camera and all, i just got mine today and its the best phone ive owned to date. Ya its all touch and all but still, you get used to it. One of the downsides is that it doesn't and will never have multitouch, can live without but like the BB's and iphones out there, the X10 is gonna be big, iphone is a thing of the past and BB's, X10 has pretty much all the same functions and much more.

BlackBerry is the most perfect smartphone in the world. With a 5mp camera it will be perfecter. But I prefer the slider over the clamshell though.

why so ugly? blackberry you could have done something like bold 9700 your most pretiest phone. on a flip phone full keyboard doesnt look good. it is the ugliest phone ever build, you get a position in Guinness World Record Book.

Beavis and Butthead UGLY. Everyone knows that clamshells are popular in North America, but at least copy someone else's design if you can't pay for a good design team.

Andika, 11 May 2010One of the ugliest phone I've ever seen.. Remind me of PEB... moreSorry, it has nothing to do with the pebble, I had one and was one of the most well made and original phones for that time, everybody loved it! I actually don't dislike this BB, it could be polished a little bit more I suppose, it's a bit fat but it seems nice to use, and people that uses BB is searching for that.

One of the ugliest phone I've ever seen..
Remind me of PEBL, one of the failed product of Motorola.
Pearl flip is much much much better 100x than this rubbish.

BB have naturally done their research and if research shows a demand for a flip, then they will make a flip. If there's a demand for a slide, they will make a slide.
Just because a handful of people are opinionating on a forum, will NOT stop a company from making handsets and subsequently selling thousands. Profits > your opinions.
And naturally there will be many more who will approve of this type of handset - although admittedly the design is a bit clunky and unwieldy compared to other handsets - bashing it straight out is uncalled for and unnecessary.

ok, i realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but calling this atrocity of a design "beautiful" is like calling those ancient ibm thinkpads "sleek".
first of all, if you're going to make a clamshell, why leave more than half of the numerical flap unoccupied? the buttons could sure use some extra space, and i'm NOT talking about the soft keys and call/end keys.
second of all, i actually do appreciate the streamlined and classy design of the first bold. now, the "bolds" are just going "bald".
third of all, why the introduction of a slide AND a clamshell? call me narrow-minded or what you will, but who still uses clamshells nowadays?
i think this is going to be a flop. dear rim, please stop milking all the attention and profit off your "bolds" and start innovating already. and in the mean time, keep in mind that your so-called "proprietary" push email function is a trade that can be mastered easily by most devices now, so what are you left with, really?
