AnonD-349743, 09 Feb 2016Man I hope the United States dips their toes back into the ... moreBlackberry gives us the Priv. It is undoubtly beautiful. The thinnest slider I have ever seen. Want it. Need it. But, its popularity is killed by its overpriciness. Good job, Blackberry. Now, no one wants to buy you. $932 for a Priv? Alright, going back to flip phone. Until the day someone make a slider right.

Man I hope the United States dips their toes back into the flip phone design. There's so much potential for unique gestures, flip-up/flip-down features, and huge customization.

Perhaps feature phones of tomorrow may use "Internet of Things" to replace prepaid data. Who knows.

Hopefully it's a strong construction then, although if it's 2 LCDs this adds to the weight a lot indeed.
Would have preferred one rotating display (like the Aquos phone THE HYBRID from Sharp) and a small notifications display.

Nevertheless having flips back to market shines a new light to the utterly boring slab market now. Would love to see more and more.
Having my previous phone stolen, had to go back to my Z530i for a while until I got another one. Obviously multimedia content was dead (although it did have a 2GB memory card), but texting was pretty much as fast with T9 and 12 real keys, answering and making calls in other hand was a no-brainer, win hands down to the 10 years old flip phone. No more sliding to answer or good luck managing that with a dirty screen, or the proximity sensor jamming closed (not my case but with girls using makeup it happens a LOT), open it up to answer or just tap twice the volume keys to reject when you see the number on the outer screen while main one is protected not needing these dreadful cases to avoid a glass shard mess. It does have it's advantages, wish to see more and more of them.

I don't like the touch phones at all. I know this may have a touchscreen, but it's only outside and it has a physical keyboard. I can't wait till they make highend or ta least close to highend candybar phones with physical keyboards again. The mid 2000's was the golden era for mobile phones.

The thickness is acceptable if it's flipped but its weight is way too heavy. That weight is same as a phablet which has 6" display. Come on philips, u can do better than this.
