AdBlock Fast for Samsung's Android browser is now back in the Play Store

09 February, 2016
At the beginning of this month Samsung released a new version of its Internet browser for Android 5.0 and up. This adds a new API which developers can use to create ad-blocking extensions. Just a few days later, one of the first such extensions, AdBlock Fast, landed in the Play Store - only to be pulled by Google soon after.

This App needs Samsung Internet (S Browser) 4.0.
My S5 with Android 5.0 only has Samsung Internet 2.1.

Without 4.0 the API to this Adblocker doesn't exist.

If you use browser a lot and want it clear without unwanted ads, have a try on WP. even cheap wp also has better IE browser, no ads, no sudden ads pop up, no new tab ads pop up. and everything is same function like on android one. Beside smooth scrolling and fast loads content, you'll have peace of mind when surfing. I have android, but I prefer using WP when browsing internet.

K-Rock, 09 Feb 2016Don't know if I want to try it. Have you seen the replies ... moreLol, I take most review on the Play Store with a pinch of salt. Especially the ranty ones or the ones that praise an app or game way too much without actually giving a lot of information about why it deserves said praise.

Websites need to stop abusing ads. Then I will stop using adblock. I disable adblock for sites like GSM arena, even though they sometimes have annoying video ads that auto play.
