i dont know, 14 May 2010i have never seen any results on these lawsuits. And we may never see the results. A lot of these cases are settled off court. But you see, these guys file lawsuits and complaints for other & different reasons. Apple's was simply to send a message or warning accross that they want other phone manufacturers to stop copying their ideas. While HTC wants to give Apple bad publicity before the release of the 4th gen iphone. While nokia wants to give Apple a bad name, plus try to make money from Apple, plus try to see if they could get a glimpse of the iphone's technology. As for me, I'll just let them be and just buy the device that's right for me, the iphone :)

Hassan, 13 May 2010How interesting. So, whenever Apple files a complaint and s... moreBut it is true. Apple revulotionized touchscreen phones. Now look at all the touchscreen phones out there. You don't have to be an Apple fan to see that. So I am not surprised at all if Apple got fed up of other phonemakers copying their ideas. As for HTC, yeah, they waited 3 yrs then sued Apple. And wow, what a timing, just in time for the 4th gen iphone to be released. I know you're not an Apple fan, but come on, don't play bilnd.

I expect that, once again, Apple inc (aka CopyCat inc) will get away with their obvious copying and patent infringement.

Apple has been playing the big bad fish who is getting fat by first sucking money out of their users, making them blind and as they are awakening they move ahead to go after bigger fishes who has been playing nice before Apple.
Now that Evil Apple has every other big company busy with Law and in other issues, they themselves will go on boards and add couple of more "magical" things into their so-called smart OS for idiots.

Anonymous, 13 May 2010Apple did file a case first against HTC, for obvious reason... moreHow interesting. So, whenever Apple files a complaint and sues somebody, they obviously do it 'for obvious reasons'. When Apple is the one that is getting sued, you have no clue why. Apple is always right, everyone else is always wrong. How typical.

Apple is shit they sue everyone.
Whatever apple makes stupid apple fans thinks apple first invented it and no one else can have it because those stupid ppl spend 2 months saving for a what-so-ever 'smart' phone.
HTC has been on the market for decades with good reputation. Apple just want to bring HTC down with their dirty hands and control the entire market.

SF, 13 May 2010You do know that Apple file all these patent complaints fir... moreApple did file a case first against HTC, for obvious reasons that HTC was copying some of Apple's IP's, and for that reason alone. In case you didn't know, the iphone has pretty much been the benchmark for all touchscreen phones. Everyone has been trying to imitate the iphone's UI. And Apple probably thought that HTC went a little too much, so they filed a complaint. This is a different story.

To whomever it was that said the stupid line that HTC is trying to milk Apple: Read the article again and try to see what is wrong with your post. Do you find anywhere in there that HTC is suing Apple? It clearly says, even in the headline, that HTC filed a complaint, and that they need not file a lawsuit. That kind of just speaks to me that you are here to bash. There are intelligent Apple fans, you aren't one of them and are one of the reasons why there are so many people bashing on Apple fanboys or claiming they got low IQ.
As for Apple and their "Sue All Companies" tour, I wonder how things will go between them and Intel now that Intel have partnered up with Nokia and will be competing in the same market. Lawsuit anyone? If Apple does, then more then likely they will switch from Intel to AMD. That being said, if Apple still will claim that they have the best hardware in their machines based on AMD, then we can all agree that they are full of it. Nonetheless they will advertise it that way and will still charge the same price despite AMD being half as cheap as Intel.

ITC courts will be very busy.
But what I don't understand is, users are already throwing judgements left and right as if someone was already proven guilty, lol. These cases take years to resolve, so I don't think it's anything to get excited about. I think Nokia and HTC, since both has been unsuccessful in producing an iphone killer, are just finding other strategies where they can hurt Apple. As I've said, these cases will take years to resolve, but they're hoping to make some damage to Apple's image now, just right before the next gen iphone is going to be launched. HTC & Nokia have nothing to lose in filing a complaint. If anything, it might get them some sympathy votes, and who knows, it might discourage some people from buying the next gen iphone, which I think is what Nokia and HTC are hoping for by making Apple look like the bad guys. I won't be surprised if Nokia or HTC files another case a week before the next gen iphone is launched. They can't beat Apple directly with their devices, so they're looking for other ways.
