Microsoft should have purchased Motorola. Then they could have make some excellent ergonic phones. Their square edged designs are horrible!

These people are making firing decisions and I doubt they decide to fire themselves.

Windows Phone is the worst mobile OS in history. If we look how many money Microsoft waste, destroy Nokia (Symbian, MeeGo). When they bought Nokia they still have around 30% market. Even today its ~ 2% market share, after so many years so much money put in, sacrifice Nokia, Symbian, Windows Mobile (older version) and nothing. Shop is still empty, no apps, no games, and almost and nobody wants to use it.

There is nothing wrong with Windows Phone, i have used all 3, Android, iOS and WP. I find WP more responsive and does tasks with some urgency. The question is, just because a phone can run with a lower powered processor doesn't mean you should release the phone with that. Ever wondered what would happen if you pair up an octa core processor with WP 8.1 (WP 10 is still be alpha stage if you ask me), it would be awesome. Thats were WP falls behind.

Microsoft is a software company and it should have remained that way. Buying Nokia was the best worst mistake they ever did. They should give back Nokia devices and services and do what they do best, be a software company. That way Microsoft can concentrate on the software and let Nokia build the hardware. Microsoft has actually ruined the name of Nokia by building unreliable and plasticy phone. I have 1020 and 540, the difference is worlds apart. Infact Microsoft named Nokia Lumia 532 and Microsoft names Microsoft Lumia 540 are way different, the former has way better build quality and touch response. 532 has glance screen but 540 does not, why on earth doesn't 540 have a glance screen considering 540 cost almost twice as 532.

I have always been a Nokia fan and I still am, just waiting and waiting and waiting for Nokia to start selling their phones again.

Microsoft: please don't kill the Nokia hardware guys they are all awesome and they built reliable phone, if you want to blame someone for this downfall and fire employees, then fire the guys who initiated the purchase of Nokia and then fire yourself. This is purely Microsoft's fault.

MS have plenty of time to estabilsh them selfes on the market but unlike Google and Apple, who knew how to atract developpers to build new apps MS was unable to atract new developpers....
Don´t get me wrong it´s one of the most beautifull and fast UI.
Don´t forget that MS has been around on the mobile industry for ages, (Microsoft Mobile) and they just sat and did nothing! When Apple came way after they decided to do someting....

So being late doesn´t necessarily mean an excuse for their losses....They dig their own grave...

Windows Phone has the best platform ever for developers... Everything that is happening is pretty much because they entered the market last and when both iOS and Android are pretty much polished.
Android has the worst developer experience, just take a look at their emulator (thank God they made a new one), it was something completely unusable. It took too long too boot, was super slow..
Sometimes you just need to be at the right place at the right time, MS unfortunately missed the right time.

I dont know why Microsoft is thinking like this, they are thinking people will love to see the desktop in mobile... and its not true as Microsoft thinks..people want something new and innovative like android.. and also there platform is like apple its a closed building.... no one can enter it , no one can understate what is there strategies in that building.....
very happy to hear this .... they should close this department... (currently i am having one Lumia)

Think about that?! And what about if they used modern chipset in their smartphones? Experience would be amazing as Symbian is very light OS. If they made and redesign everything in last Symbian touch in just year, they could make big changes in OS later.
