I owned htc one m7 and now I own m8, i did'nt upgrade to m9 since it looks the same as m8 to me. my experiences with both handsets are positive. htc makes quality and unique handsets, htc one m series design is unique. I am worried if they are going to deviate from this design and go with the direction of one A-series which looks like both iPhone and galaxy. there's absolutely nothing wrong with htc handsets they just need to concentrate on how to market themselves as they are not doing so good in the market right now. i realized their market is poor since in most places i go people ask to see my phone and ask where did i bought it because they like it but they don't know where to get it. people are buying junk because they are marketing themself properly.

HTC = same & ugly design + huge bezels + bean size battery (super duper small battery)... I'm hoping to see the day when I can finally say "NOW I'M DEFINITELY CHANGING FROM SAMSUNG TO HTC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". But if they go on like this, they'll probably END (HISTORY)...

Last year,many loyal htc fans complained about the boomsound speakers.they complained that the speakers make the phone look ugly.and they dont need such gimmickly awkward feature.Now,this year they're back with another complain.This time they are asking, "why there is no boomsound speakers? " . Lol,These guys are so narrow minded..they should learn how to be positive.

I had the M7, M9, and HTC Magic lol, I suppose all were rootable (I don't remember about the Magic), but it's not a simple process as it involves lots of "hacking" into your phone. That blased s-off is what ruins the experience, if you don't do it, you have to go through a lot of grief to downgrade/upgrade and do things.

None of those camera have ultra pixel tehnology as in HTC M7 and M8. There camera had 2um, here is just 1.55um.
Despite this, we learned that megapixel race is not enough to have good quality photos. As a HTC fan I can say that HTC never had a good post processing software for its camera, no matter what resolution had. HTC ONE X photos (8mp) had a lot of noise and artefacts, M7's photos now, after 3 years of tweaking the software are more than ok, but limited by resolution, M8's I don't know and M9's are ok-ish, but not more.
I can bet that photos in M10 will no more than average (ad least in the begining) and not because of resolution but because poor software tweaking.
Unfortunately, all the information that we have now led to the assumption that M10 will be another flop, mainly because of its unattractive price for what it will offer (assumption based on previous princing, see A9 for example). There will be nothing to make it stick out of the crowd and chinese phones like Huawei , Xiaomi, Meizu, OnePlus or LeTV will have same specs with almost half price.
Sad times for me as a HTC fan :(

if htc wants to surivive, they must be high at numbers, normal people those doesnt know much about tech, they will pass this phone cause of 12mp camera(it may be good camera), but these peoples they just look on numbers, just saying my opinion.

The older m7 design has been done and tweaked, they'll lose fans if they stick to it, trust me.
A9 is very good looking phone.

But Samsung keeps tempting me to the dark side with 3 things: the camera, the SPen and the AMOLED screen.
Now the speaker quality on HTC might also be inferior to other brands...

HTC... Bring out a 5.5 inch screen phone (AMOLED would be great)... Front facing speakers... Fingerprint scanner on the back... Get rid of the HTC logo on the front (to allow for greater screen to body ratio). Stick to the original HTC One design... bring in a decent camera with OIS, good aperture and Laser focus... BANG!... You're back in the game.
