g-man, 14 Feb 2016Obviously comments about windows Phone are those of the ign... moreIt's not all ignorance. 8.1 was very fast and smooth but suffers from lack of available apps. For many, the lack of apps is not a problem, but for some it definitely is. I prefer win 10 mobile so far as it looks much better in my opinion and so far the Universal App experience for me has been a good one. There is a lot more potential with Win 10 mobile, but it's just not ready yet. There are still too many bugs and it's really a shame that these are taking so long to fix. It seems many people are having major issues with the new 950/XLs and MS probably should not have released those phones with Win 10 mobile. Hopefully the user experience gets a lot better by the time phone like the Elite x3 are released.

AnonD-210527, 14 Feb 2016Making Android phones is less profitable for companies who ... moreReminds me of an article that rumored or claimed that MS partnered up with some of the popular PC brands like Asus, Acer, HP, Lenovo and many other non-PC brands I cannot recall to be producing Windows Phones (8/8.1) before Windows 10 for mobile/phones was hitting the rumor mill. Now, I wonder when would Asus or Lenovo produce a phone built for W10 or with the W10 ecosystem and not the ported ones. I know they could just be waiting for when the demand of W10 cranks high before they decide or plan

I had HP Ipaq running on WM a long time ago. It was a good PDA phone and I was very satisfied with all its functionality. I am just wondering why WM is so bad in term of functionality comparing to my old Ipaq. I fully understand that WM era is a totally different from modern era of WP 10, but I am just lost.

Some companies are making significant profits from android phones. Other manufacturers are struggling like sony, htc, Blackberry etc

AnonD-313745, 13 Feb 2016Windows phone is on life support .But - - Windows 10 Mob... moreNo more or less mind-boggling than the deluded individuals who are somehow sure Windows Mobile 10 is going to just dissapear. They dont seem to realise that 'Windows mobile' *IS* windows 10 - they are increasingly one and the same - and windows 10 isnt going anywhere any time soon. Its gonna be on the slow burner for a while but whether some people like it or not (personally I wish people would wake up to the advantages of Linux) w10 will resurface.

Why is that some people get paid 6-figure and gr... moreMaking Android phones is less profitable for companies who are already established. HP is a windows devices company and people might buy window 10 mobile because HP have good market share in widows pc.
If HP makes Android, they won't get any better results than BlackBerry but windows 10 mobile they can have success because of sync between HP computers and mobiles.

I hope HP will bring this greatness to MWC and show us what's it all about. It would be very nice to have another manufacturer coming with Windows based phones. Alcatel already got some nice handsets running Windows 10 and Acer has some phones as well.

I've used a HP Spectre 13 Ultrabook for the past year n half now. I dunno, i like some HP products and dislike others. It'll be interesting to see what HP comes up with in terms of mobile hardware. Will see. Though this year looking out for some big announcments in mobile tech.
WIll give a Windows 10 phone a miss.

Most of commentators are childish. Everytime new products launched, they will commenting, oh this is just Snapdragon 810 in 2016, if only 820. Or oh if only has 4K video, or its just 12 MP camera. You know dude, each phone has own level, target, segment, is low, mid, or high end. The shit is, you won't change ur phone for year

Why are you all getting mad for product uses WP OS? Why all brand must have using Android platform?
While is this not good for competitive and healthy market?
More choices, people are happy, so its good for innovation. Have you ever imagine if the rest all the world are Chinese, including you? You will never go abroad for sure, never cares to know each other

I've supported HP for a long time now but i think their products are hit or miss and usually miss... ...i've had couple of HP PC's and tablets most of them has been a disappointment but i like my HP slate 21 all-in-one Android PC (or whatever you call it, gigantic tablet?!?) but it's not going to be supported anymore, it got KitKat update and i think that's it. Anyway, back to the topic... ...i also think that coming back to smartphone market with Windows Phone is a bad choice, really bad. I would rather see HP making Android phone but it seems like HP has abandoned Android platform for good. Maybe it just didn't work out for them and they rather focus on Windows which they know better. And like some have already said, HP's products are overpriced. Well, at least they still try and i wish them well.

Any product from HP i simply don't like! Aside from expensive compared with the same specs with other brands, it has never learned from its rubbish battery...easily drained at most and easily gets very hot at its common problem. I would rather go for lenovo and asus for sure much cheaper at its equal specs and power.

Sigh...
Why is that some people get paid 6-figure and greater salaries to be absolute dumbasses? Windows Mobile is on life support. It has less than 3% market-share and that's shrinking year by year.
Who at HP thinks that re-entering the smartphone market with a Windows phone is a good idea and why can't I have their job? It's seriously mind-boggling. Like, my mind it totally boggled right now!
