This year I created a do... moreApple Tv... The worst thing Apple ever made. The simple fact IOS does not have a file system makes it a toy.
Enjoy your toys. I will continue using my Windows Pc and MacBook to do my work like pros do.

This year I created a dozen of presentations for my class exclusively on the iPad air2. Using the Keynote is as easy as a toy but the outcome is better than power point. And it's also free. And I had to use various apps like creating animated sketches, editing video like extracting scenes or removing the soundtrack, adding fine typography, editing pictures, etc before I added them into a Keynote slide. There are hundreds of apps of this kind on the App store (that entirely missing on Microsoft App store, sadly). My only problem was transferring them to my classroom desktop PC. Converting Keynote presentations to Powerpoint to be viewed on the TV via the PC is by large successful but some beautiful Keynotes animations do not play on powerpoint. And powerpoint does a very bad job when there is a movie in a slide. The solution was to get an apple TV and now I use the iPad not only to project to the TV but also as a control of my presentations. In combination with Apple TV I am also able to play songs, display webpages, show pictures or even drawing sketches when I want to explain something and all that directly from my iPad. In other words I don't use the PC any longer. I could have gotten a much, much cheaper HDMI cable to connect the iPad with the TV but I finally went for an Apple TV as it gives me the freedom to move around the classroom. I find the iPad as easy to create and do things as playing with a toy but it's definitely a tool. It simply doesn't do things the same way like a pc.

Windows is good for Office work like emails, spreadsheets, general business productivity. Apple is more focused towards media jobs like video/photo editing, music and art oriented sectors. Just because you find Windows better for your lifestyle doesn't mean it's the best overall. For you, yeah. For anybody else? depends on what you need the device for.

I don't why some people think that the ipad is in the same niche as the surface pro. It just too funny to compare a mobile os to a full desktop os. Ipad sales is shrinking yearly while the surface line is increasing daily. Lol.. .

Everyone knows that the ipad is a good device. They see them both as tablets, but have no idea what they are. My grandma owns a iPhone and she is like , '' I heard its a good phone '' . Surface is a desktop in the body of a tablet, it may run almost anything. The Pro models run everything. And this has nothing to do with gaming. It may run all executables. a iPad is almost the same price as a Surface 3, but the iPad will always be a good tablet, but a overpriced one , as all Apple products are.
You should compare the iPad with the Surface 2 or the RT models. They were quite limited tablets..
Surface 3, Pro 3 and Pro 4 are mobile desktops
