LG G5 to come with a secondary ticker display

16 February, 2016
A new rumor claims that the G5 will have a small secondary screen, just like the VG V10 and the new "X" series.

It will be rugged if they put front duo camera in the middle between secondary ticker displayed....where at the right is for notification and changeable displayed on the left...

It doesn't negate the Always ON, no. If anything it explains it; it will be the second screen that is always on surely?

This reminds me of the Always on secondary OLED display of the really ancient E870

A gimmick always means a lack of innovation, not being able to think of something that really adds differentiating value. LG has lost its way from an innovation standpoint since the G3.

ravi4ever, 16 Feb 2016hhmm so secondary on the back is always ON..@ravi this is not about the screen glance gimmick.
this is about secondary ticker display which was originally introduced by LG only(LG V10).
And i would prefer Ticker display over Active/Glance displays. LG is pumping their customer hopes up

I'd rather have the largest screen realestate in width, not height. Sure, I don't want an overly wide phone, but extra height is far less useful and harder to reach, even as a secondary screen. Of course if it's just intended for information and has no touch capability then maybe it would be fine, but I can't see that as having enough of a selling point.

Now put in a screen no larger than 5.3" and a 4000 mAh battery and I'll take it instead of the S7 even with the free Gear VR helmet.

Nokia/Microsoft's Glance Screen. This is an old feature on their phones.
Anyway, if you want this feature, you'd better go for the real thing, and not for a cheap copy of it. Windows phones FTW!

hhmm so secondary on the back is always ON..
