I regret buying galaxy alpha . It should be a mini flagship with premium price when launch . But it stuck at 5.0.2 now .

I wouldn't consider anything from Samsung except their flagships. Based on my and many people experiences the flagships are ~flawless but anything below just a de*p s**t and faulty led your devices RiP without notice.

If there's a range within the mid-range (and we all know there is), this chipset is decidedly lower-mid-range. Which would be fine if it were destined for a sub-$200 phones. However, I think we know Samsung well enough to know there won't be a phone under $300 sporting this chipset.

D, 16 Feb 2016still can't beat PowerVRWhich one? If you are talking about the GX6250, you may be right, but if you are talking about the G6200... who knows? Anyway, I was talking about SoCs. I was merely being speculative with the GPUs.

This SoC will be a direct competition to the Snapdragon 625 (which will also be made with 14nm technology). However, I don't know how the Mali T830 GPU will fare against the Adreno 506 of the SD625.

Also the 1.7 ghz a53 is nothing to write home about (mediatek 6752 had that a year ago as midrange). It's more like a low-end chip, most likely better ones will come to take on snapdragon 652/650. The power consumption will surely be super low though.

The 7580 was crap and way below snapdragon 800 level, even for a midrange that was nothing they should have sold. This one looks promising. 14nm is energy efficient and the gpu seems to be almost kirin 950 or snapdragon 800 level
