The 200GB SanDisk microSD card is now selling for only $89.95

16 February, 2016
Last June, SanDisk officially released its much-hyped 200GB microSD card, which was originally announced a few months before. As you'd expect from such a high-capacity card, it wasn't cheap, retailing for $239.44.

What do you recommend? I haven't used sandisk in a long time. Samsung SD cards are much cheaper at frys electronics and they have lasted on me.

in pakistan it will never go below 239$

AnonD-206412, 17 Feb 2016In India the price goes like this for Sandisk MicroSD UHS-1... moreI agree with you. My 32 GB Samsung SD card ( Class 6 though) is holding up quiet nicely for three years and still running very well, But unfortunately it is not fast enough to be formatted as an internal storage on MarshMallow, may be I will buy a class 10 card next time.

                Really good to know, thanks

Almand, 17 Feb 2016In general, how reliable are mSD cards?!Damn good, if you ask me. I have never faced an issue with a memory card, so far. Possible reason could be - I have always replaced my old ones with new higher capacity memory cards once in 2 years. At the end of the day, it is just an electronic item. So there WILL be problems in some of them. You have to think about it and explore it personally, not blindly believe in what others (particularly some OEMs and their clones) have to say.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2016No,it was original package that came as bundle with Samsung... moreHmm... I'm not sure which phone you bought, but Samsung produces their own brand of sd card. Maybe a fake san disk was bundled together with the phone by storekeeper as a "promotion". But good electronics do fail anyway, and you might just be the one who fell into that probability.

Maybe you purchase a fake one! There's a lot of fake Sandisk memory cards coming out of mainland China. But it's very hard to tell the difference between the original and the fake one...
