Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7870 detailed: Octa-core Cortex-A53, 14nm process

The chip is now official with eight Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-T830 GPU, done on a FinFET process.

                14 nm on a midrange CPU ?!! Yeeey, Oh no wait a second... Mali T830 ! JUST NO

                  Yes, the Exynos 7870 is aimed to the SD625, though the latter's cores can be clocked up to 2.0GHz or more. Depending of the number of cores that has the Mali-T830, the Adreno 506 could be faster too. All things considered, Samsung still has job to do with their midrange offerings, because it seems that Qualcomm and Mediatek are doing better, specially Mediatek.

I guess TSMC 28nm HPC+ has really gone a long way lowering power requirements.
