I use Opera instead of Chrome, no idea if that's slower than Opera. I personally have never liked mobile Windows UI's, but on desktop-side I really love Windows 10. Fortunately those ugly tiles could be hidden away, I wish to never see them again. :)

Maybe you just don't do a lot of things at the same time on your phone. Try having a bunch of browser tabs open, while running Word or Excel in parallel, reading/composing emails at the same time and also chatting on Skype. That's normal, everyday stuff that you can do with Windows phones without a hiccup.

LOL, I love how people are jumping on the bandwagon, same old saying "windows is like ios, and android is so behind", I've heard it all before, the jealousy that iphone and windows phone people have of android is so unbelievable, Android is the best and most advanced OS there is, I have several phones dating back to 2010 and no lag whatsoever, so please keep your jealousy coming, I'm loving it!
