The CEO of Oneplus Pete Lau did work for Oppo as a hardware engineer but has since moved on to find his own company; Oneplus. Initially, Oneplus didn't have its own factory so it did use Oppo's, however, now it's a different story. Stop misguiding people lol.

i'd choose this over the oneplus x, it'll probably have better camera software (it's oppo guys, oneplus users even ported oppo's camera app) and the fact that in the Philippines we have like, an oppo store in every corner, so aftersales shouldn't be an issue unlike the oneplus.

It's not oppo sub brand.it's the worker from oppo make a new brand it self.there no share or sub branded between. Oppo and plus

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2016That's all they can do in china is copy from others? It is not copied or cloned. It is the same brand. Oneplus is owned by Oppo. Oneplus is just a sub-brand like Lenovo sub-brand, ZUK. Huawei have a sub-brand called Honor. Many companies are using sub-brand to make the market more competative and diverse. What is the problem? Gsmarena headlines is too much.

OnePlus is nothing but a product/marketing tester for Oppo, a beta tester if you will.
The OnePlus One got released...after they worked out the bugs, then it got released as
the Oppo Find7, WITH the added features. Same for the OnePlus2, BUT after their idea of
making the entire chassis out of metal, in an attempt to COOL DOWN the SD810 chip, which failed, the Oppo Find 9, which was suppose to be released before the end of 2015, HAS BEEN DELAYED, and won't be available until the SD820 is released in mass. The OnePlus X, got released, and now the Oppo A30 is nothing more than the OnePlus X.
You'll see on their user forums, stupid post like "what do you think would make this or that phone better, or do you think OnePlus is better than iphone and why, or I was thinking about the OnePlus2, but I also want to get the xxxxx phone, which one do you think I should go for. If you look at their "membership number", their account was created on the day of their 1st post, sometimes with broken English. It's nothing more than more viral marketing from Oppo, under the guise of OnePlus.
I wouldn't buy anything from these snake oil salespeople, who have ZERO support once they get your money.

                              Yes, Oppo owns Oneplus confidentially.
