This looks good and doesn't look like it will cost an arm and leg. I think the 2k res is low for a VR viewer. I've tried 4k on one and you can see the pixels so I imagine 2K will be even more pixelated.

AnonD-395361, 22 Feb 2016obviously copied from samsung gear 360. innovation indeed, lol.Well, Samsung copies everybody. Have a look at Ricoh Theta, which is currently in its 3rd generation.

K Views, 21 Feb 2016It looks more discreet than the Samsung 360 camera...Yeah i like this shape better but if you need to attached it on top of your head (lol), placed it on the ground or on something, Gear 360 might be better. But more importantly, is the price and quality of the video.

AnonD-395361, 22 Feb 2016obviously copied from samsung gear 360. innovation indeed, lol.Yes. Thats exactly how it happened. Samsung introduced their Gear 360 and some guy at LG said "Oh we better copy that before we go on stage in a few minutes!" and obviously LG stole the design too. I think what really happened was LG stole a Gear 360 and replaced the Samsung logo with their own

I think this is their best accessory from their presentation today. Don't see the point / use of the rolling robot unless you have a pet. Camera module and B&O sound modules seem like pointless gimmicks. There are plenty of wireless bluetooth headsets already on the market.
A cheap, compact 360 camera that's compatible with any device is a great idea IMO. Well done LG :)

This looks like Ricoh Theta S stubby twin. Makes me wonder if Ricoh makes the camera parts inside or if LG licensed the same optical design.

I like the Theta very much but wishes it had weather sealing and 4K video. When the whole sphere is just 2K and the VR glasses are just small windows to this sphere they need all the resolution they can get to make the images somewhat detailed.

I wonder if this will work with other Android devices and not only LG phones, if so, I will only depend on the price to buy this, and start shooting with it. It looks a lot more useful than holding those crazy selfie sticks. (hey, its also less annoying for the others around you!) Looking forward to see a review about this :)
PS: Anyone knows any other 360 Cameras that are portable, quality and is offered for a good price?
