Would anyone actually manage to get some type of proper compensation from it? They would at best need to give back the money to some crazed people who bought like 10~100 of these at once, the other tons that didn't buy it in high volume will be just like "Heh well... I got scammed... At least it costs no more than a McDonnald's set so nevermind" And let it be forgotten. By the time some government agency steps up to make the lawsuit, they are long gone and laundered that money somewhere.

So now where are the bhakts who were shouting so loudly on the launch day..??

(Heck the battery for one of these costs more than 4 dollars, I bought a meager 400 mAh battery pack for my BT headphones, a generic pack not specific one, and it was ~6 dollars)
For the other commenters out there: please don't come at me with "It's government subsidized" cause no where it says so, and even if it was, just look at the sheer number of orders, how much would it cost the government.
