here's the start of something new for phones... a modular type is now emerging... the rest would better follow... I think in my opinion, they are upgrading more on the hardware side...

The reasons why LG G5 is a downgrade compared to V10 (why the article didn't mention them?):

LG G5 is missing these features that V10 has:
        -manual video settings,
        -app drawer,
        -dual window,
        -Q slide
-removable back cover (makes it easy for 3rd party battery manufacturers like Zerolemon to create bigger extended battery)

-adoptable storage (it's an Android 6 feature that is missing from G5 and probably V10 also won't get it when upgraded to Android 6)

So I'm guessing it will have an unapologetically abysmal battery life and thinks having removable battery makes up for it.

So the dual cam does nothing but take two different photos? Its just like cropping the wide angle one. Lumia 1020 had a better solution then, wherein you can re-crop a photo to your liking and not lose the cropped part of the photo.

Better choice would be use the same 16Mp camera x2/x3 to make up to 48Mp with lens pointing in 3 directions. You could choose then FoV with resolution as bonus. They could also bring 360° camera(s) to phone(if they want to use more cams).

The video with the woman replacing the battery next to water is making me realise more and more cons about this concept - mainly, about the risks.
