Anonymous, 21 Feb 2016"are you" ? The only question about you that needs answe... moreI don't understand why you need to get personal here. Even as a neutral observer, he could have made that comment. I am not a fanboy of Samsung or LG. Still looking at the comments section, it seems people visiting gsmarena are more interested in G5 than S7.

It's 1mm thicker than the S6 flat.
I sure hope it makes the device easier to hold.
I believe the edges were bevelled to retain the illusion of thinness despite the acquired breadth.
I am actually missing the local Unpacked here in the Philippines so I have to wait for the device to sample it. I hope it doesn't turn out the same as the Note 5 experience coming from the Note 4 where the Note 5 felt thicker/chunkier in the hand than the Note 4.

AnonD-263286, 22 Feb 2016Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be the most successful A... moreTrust me, it won't break any records. Android world has moved past flagships long back. Android mid-rangers have become good enough and killed them long back.
There won't be any android flagship phone which would sell 10 million+ with flagship pricing, i.e. 600USD+. Only after price cuts which would bring it to less than 600USD, they will cross 10 million sale. The sooner Android OEMs understand, it would be better for them to set realistic expectations from their teams (marketing, R&D etc).

The Reviewer, 21 Feb 2016DISCLAIMER: NO FAN BOY !!! Samsung,You increase the batter... moreYes the G5 did give a new design which can impress many, however some may instead see it as a gimmick. Of course swappable batteries are nice, but some just don't like bringing a spare battery with them around. The S7's "hardware upgrades" on the other hand would probably give a more appealing feature to them with that beefy 3000 mAh battery, allowing their phone to stay on for possibly the whole day without the need to change batteries. Also, the S7 has an IP68 certification a "hardware upgrade" your definition is very different than mine.

Well, Samsung has brought out a really attractive and utility filled flagship phone this year!! The return of expandable storage and water and dust resistance is a nice thing to happen and would bring back their lost and unhappy customers!! Rest everything is an upgrade of the previous Galaxy S6 but is really commendable considering the camera, gaming, efficient processing, VR integration etc. Any one having a phone older than the Galaxy S6 will very much be attracted to this phone for sure. But for others, it's better to keep their phone for another year or wait till the end of this year. Definitely, LG's G5 has to be the best innovative phone of the year till date. But the acceptance of its innovation among the loyal customers over Samsung and Apple needs to be seen!!

Samsung S7 does impress and tick... moreyeah exactly. Now the only flagship phones that have stereo speakers are Z5, M9 and motorola nexus. And the best are the one on M9 and Z5.
Samsung really has to take a look at what others do.

Anonymous, 22 Feb 2016No dual speak is a GOOD thing. At home I stream to TV/Hi-Fi... moreit's a personal choice. Im rarely alone outside so I don't use headphones that much. I like watching movies with my friends on my side so stereo speakers are important for me.
Meaning samsung failed to my eyes again, meaning Sony Z5 is still my 1st choice when I get the money.

Awesome specs on this 2 models but the phones is getting slimmer n taller. I don't it's the way to innovate a technology at the expense of others. It's also not fun for gaming n films watching. I think the midranger A series are better built.

Many will mistake this is just a mere upgrade because of the very similar (if not just the same) design as its predecessor.
This is actually a mix of both upgrade and innovation. No jaw-breaking, revolutionary invention though in this phone, save for the new hardware.
From the audio department, I think we should wait for proper audio test from GSMarena team as the expensive chip from some audio company won't help if the software and/or firmware is badly tuned and vice versa.

Samsung S7 does impress and ticks all the boxes save for Audio departement.
I'm waiting for it to move from beloved HTC.
