Why is Tesco Mobile not on this article? it's probably the best deal if you're not too fussed about the VR, has no upfront cost and runs off o2 so is just as reliable as the main network.

The reason all these deals are so expensive is becuase they all come with 'freebies', they need to make some of the money back somewhere. Tesco mobile seems to have dominated the s7/edge tarrifs. o2 might not have the best coverage at the moment, but they are investing 1.5 million (sterling) a day into their 4g and 3g network throughout the uk, and with the possibility that hutchinson whompoa (who own three Uk) planning to purchase 02, their uk coverage is going to improve massively with both masts from the networks.

What you will find though is you might get fewer minutes or data (or like on EE you don't get wifi calling) which is how they get the lower price. Personally I've never had a problem.
