dev, 23 Feb 2016To the ones complaining about price: what does a Samsung or... moreBetter exclusive software features, way better design and build quality, better camera, water resistance and memory expansion, optimizations, reliable customer service etc. Xiaomi and their fans are out of their collective minds if they think customers won't gladly spend a few bucks more for an S7 or G5 or even the future iPhone 7 or M10.

Lmao those prices are ridiculous for a Chinese phone, their only advantage was value and now that's gone since a lot of them cost just as much as more reputable brands like Apple or Samsung. And why bother getting the 64GB version of the plain Mi 5 instead of the 5 Plus with its bigger battery?

I don't think that the price stated are true.... I was waiting for this phone since 2 months....but if the said prices are right...then I have to settle with one plus 2 or Asus zenphone 2......

                        If Mi 5 is selling $599 -
                        - Most of us will put China made phone at one end and go for Samsung , LG or Sony.

It will takes many more years before China made phone price can be on par with these big names. It is not the matter of how good the specs or how inferior , but the stigma in most of us when "Made In China" is concerned.

Locked bootloader, exclusive editions and higher prices, XiaoMi is falling. As most of comments, I'd rather go for a Samsung for almost the same price. Bad XiaoMi, you disappointed me.

Guys seriously wtf, why is the price $100 above the advertised $399.

When LeiJun said his dream was to let XiaoMi be the world's #1 phone maker, I was one of the few who thought that he had a shot, as long as they don't do the same crap as Apple and Samsung where they make a $400 phone and sell for $800.

Don't tell me, XiaoMi, that you've just gone one step closer to that place.
