There are number of phones with curved metallic or plastic backs. Simply putting a curve to obvious materials doesn't make an innovative design.

India is price sensitive, so the base version is bit highly priced compared to pro.
yes there are some Grey areas to MI5 when compared to samsung n iphoneand patents , i hope when they are available in India.the differential price mechanism will work.
one more does it have external memory slots, i guess no, coz it was not mentioned in launch.
most spec and architecture are left to Qualcomm SD guys to explain, so MI has presented a phone will lot off expectation on fizz
