Next year with the same modular battery it won't be interesting anymore. Just like S7 edge. The curved edge panel is also 'NEW' but it is boring after seeing it for the fourth time already. Note edge, S6 edge, s6 edge plus, & s7 edge. The simple reason is that new innovation takes years to develop. Like LG G5 modular battery, took them 3 years of development before releasing it. Samsung developed Youm flexible display in 2011 but takes 3 years before launching Note Edge. See there. Innovation is not a fast paced technology like chipset that keep evolving every year. Whoever have the last laugh wins in the end.

had purchased note 5 single sim....thn heard tht samsung cam out with dualsim r we mad to pay huge amount on single n after u introducing dual sim version .......sam u r doing with samsung s6 n edge.....sam every thng
samsung is just making fools of consumer .......first u buy s6 n edge ....nw thre s no new innovation on ths s7 n s7 edge....only few changes from older version aperture is change,design remain same..added cardslot .......water resistant ......why wll som one buy ths .......buy any sony mobile for water proof ip 67 certified ..............learn from lg samsung ....complete ecosystem s changed .......even apple should learn from lg for innovation ..........lg g5 wll the best phone of 2016...

Its funny how all samsung fans go about saying is that what LG did is gimmick..to me the edge is more a gimmick than any thing else!LG G5 is a great phone on its own without the accesories that can be used with it.

At least the G5 is trying to bring something interesting to the table. Don't worry, Samsung is busy trying to come up with something similar now that LG's device is public. It the G5's modularity had been released in leaks, samsung would have hurried to try to release a half-baked product to the market, just to say they did it first. It's what they do.

LG G5 is akin to HTC Legend, only wider, thinner and chinless, personally I like the way they execute the design.

The two aren't necessarily the same and I don't think the G5 was the best device, though I suppose if LG winning encourages others to think outside the box then it's maybe not a bad thing.

I was not a big fan of lg.but lg g5 5 has changed it.i really like the idea of add on.i was planning to buy a samsung note 5 just because of gear vr and sound quality.but now lg has gone to next level .lg vr looks much better than gear vr (sammy vr suffers because of lower ppi but lg went on a different apraoch and ppi 600 is crazy high ).and by adding bang and oulfsen dac for me it is more than perfect.
