This one is not vivo xplay 5 as going by pic, there is not any dual edge screen. But price of INR 50000 is too much for any vivo phone.. Xiaomi mi3 is much better specs phone under 30k.the price should be well under INR 35k

AnonD-505619, 26 Feb 201650000 india currency near around 780$ dollars for what 6 GB... moreEverybody. Ram is more important than SoC. It makes a phone faster because all your apps get cached in memory. A shiny new CPU doesn't make your phone faster because phone apps don't need much power.

As for the price, it's in line with the rest high grade phones (iPhones, galaxy S, LG G series ...), except it gives you more than them ...

I wanted to buy a Xiaomi Mi 5 but they are very difficult to acquire in my area whereas Vivo retail stores are easy to find in shopping malls so I may buy Vivo XPlay 5 instead of Mi 5

It already happened to resolutions, phones have higher resolution than many/most computers that most people own. It makes sense , you hold the phone close to the eyes...

Whoop there is! Phones already cought up with the computer configurations, I wonder what's next in store as this is - currently - one of the fastest growing technological branch.

The biggest drawback of owning a Vivo handset is that you will never receive any android version upgrades. The android version the phone will come installed with is the version it will stay for the rest of its life no matter if it even happens to be a flagship model. I am from India and own two of their handsets, X5Max (flagship model) and V1 (midrange model), and I lost a lot of respect against this company for following the zero update policy.

Let me give you an example. I gifted my wife's a Motorola Moto G (2nd Gen) in 2014 which came preinstalled with Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). The Moto G retailed online at INR 11K in Flipkart. In the same year I got myself a Vivo X5Max at INR 33K (3x the price of Moto G) from a local offline Vivo dealer. This also came with Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) with their own Funtouch 2.0 overlay. Standing as of today the Moto G was subsequently updated via OTA by Motorola to Android 5.0.1 (Lolipop) -> Android 5.1.0 (Lolipop) -> Android 6.0.0 (Marshmallow). Unfortunately the X5Max being a flagship device and initially costing 3x the price of a budget Moto G is still stuck to the same version it came pre-installed with, Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).

I will never buy a Vivo again even if they offer the best tech in the world.

Not as lazy as you, 26 Feb 2016I don't like that you can't spend 20 seconds googling it. ... moreyes, I can, but these 20 seconds is a waste. Tell to author news-post to take 20 seconds. So he will save billions of seconds for other users.
