..and Vertu sell their phone starting at $9000 and there's still no gold at all.. you need to spend more cash to customize it, when your customization order reach at $15000 mark you can get at least gold plated emblem only placed right above the display..

Let's say the actual device costs around 830 euro and the wireless charger costs around 40 euro (and the gear VR around 220 euro)
Then we have 1090 euro. Which means that Samsung wants ~600 euro for the wooden box and the gold PLATED finish?? This is absurd by any means.
Gold plate process is generally cheap, basically it is a coat on top of the metal (if you drop it, it will chip) no way near actual Gold used on the frame.
Samsung has gone full Apple in the recent years and this is really sad and contradicting to everything Samsung stud in the past.
But hey! They are selling really good and this is all that matters for some..

I agree with his post, people are quick enough to slate the S7 or S7 Edge but cannot mention a phone that is better than it. I think Samsung are delivering a decent phone with this one and am pleased to see the SD card slot back. As for the plating, I would love to see this in Platinum (although my Bank Manager might not agree!)

Arengium, 26 Feb 2016Personally I don't really prefer Samsung cuz it ia overpric... morelol yeah! only high end Samsung worth! but put also the "A" series as one of them as it has reputation too... considering how it well build and better design language though than that of its flagship brothers.. "S" and "note" series. I don't know why A series has better build quality and well more looks beautiful than the flagship itself.

also there are plenty of phones that are better than the S7. Just depends on what you need the phone for. This probably isn't the best phone for someone who can't afford it. Or someone who wants a better battery life. Or someone who needs a bigger/smaller screen.

AnonD-230275, 26 Feb 2016same as the last year...!!! was s6 waterproof? had msd card... moreThe S6 was not waterproof, did not have sim card slot, had terrible battery life talking 5-6 continues use, last time around the camera used only 5% of pixels to focus, now uses 100% and even better then b4 in low lighting. it has a built in vapor chamber to keep cool (befor only seen in gaming pc's and used on rockets) mainly when using the phone for VR. it's disply looks even better then befor witch will also help when using VR. It's upgraded every thing about it and returned to it's roots.

I dont know why people always complain about touchwiz... it's the same for all brand except nexus devices... and touchwiz has gotten a lot faster and no longer has a bunch of useless apps. A lot of the functions can be toggled on and off. If you don't want to get the phone because you don't like touchwiz... then install a custom rom... but that will totally ruin all the great functions the s7 edge will come with. you win some you lose some...

Whi cares about the price if you're filthy rich ( not that I am, but someday). I think Samsung's flagship is the best overall. And I mean flagship only. The others are still b*llshit though
