Acer outs promo video for upcoming Liquid Jade Primo Windows 10 phone

26 February, 2016
Acer has already showcased the Jade Primo a few times - at IFA last year, then at CES and at MWC. Yet now after many months of talking about it, the company finally seems intent on actually launching the handset running Windows 10 Mobile. The Jade Primo's release should happen next month. In the meantime, its maker has created a new promo video for the device, one that clearly positions the Jade Primo as a workhorse.

Windows 10 Mobile is a much more efficient Phone operating system than Android or IOS.
Software responsiveness even on lower end Qualcomm processors such as the 410 or 210 is still very good and on the 810 or 820 is AMAZING! Universal Apps provide desktop compatibility and Continuum supports using your Windows 10 Phone as a Desktop with Large Screen, Keyboard and Mouse!

Your first generation Moto G runs better when flashed with an unofficial custom version of Android Marshmallow than the Lumia 640 does running a 'beta' preview version of Windows 10 Mobile ?. Well I don't find that difficult to believe, but then I hardly find that something to really brag about.

And as for boasting that Android has a screen recording app and Windows 10 Mobile does not, I think is really childish. Reeks of 'mine is bigger and better than yours' playground tactics. All you need to do now is poke your tongue out and we have the full experience.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2016Suck your finger. Here in Romania Android lose ground. Why?... moreYa know what's worse than a troll? A flat-out liar. The Lumia 640 has the same specs as the 1st generation Moto G, yet performs significantly worse on Windows 10 than the Moto G does on Android M. I should know, I've used both with both. Now granted, I've never used a flagship device with Windows 10, but low/mid-range device performance is usually a pretty good indicator of overall OS efficiency.

My daily driver is the OnePlus One. It's a 2-year-old phone running the latest version of Android. It NEVER LAGS. If you don't believe me, tell us all what Windows Phone you own and let's both upload videos of our devices performing basic tasks. My phone can even has a built-in screen record function. Does yours?

I think Android is better than iOS. That's my opinion. But when I say WM sucks, that's a fact because 98.9% of the world's smartphone users agree with me (that's not a made-up number, btw. WM's world market share is 1.1%).

Stop being a contrarian. The real trolls are the ones defending the indefensible.

This is one of the best features nowaday. W10m is NOT buggier then Android or iOS. Stop lying, trollboy. If you want to mention bugs, here is a list for you:

Nice list where you can see security holes since 2008/2009 without any solution..... that is what you are now proud of and saying that is better than w10m? LOL.

Mini PCs are already available. Phones are not suppose to run full desktop programs.

This phone just gives you option to use it on second screen where getting work done is easier.

Phone will full windows OS(Surface Phone) is not coming anytime soon. That would be like another rest for windows phone. More UWP apps need to come to life before a fill windows phone comes to life.

But good effort Acer. Keep going.

From what I can gather - you can only use 'proprietary' windows softwares - i.e. nothing any other phone can't already use / do.
Let me know when I can run full AutoCad / Revit and SketchUp etc - then I'll be interested.
Otherwise this is a device pretending to be something it's not.
But kudos to Acer for attempting to introduce some well needed excitement in to the Window Phone ecosystem. Fair play to them.
(And before anyone else says it - there's nothing wrong with the 808 - it's perfectly reasonable for this kind of (limited) useage).
