super late!! i already rooted my phone yesterday this is my last phone from asus. my 1gb ram kitkat phone have more average free ram than my 2gb zenfone 2.. android 5.0 almost a year of burden.

Just look how many Android devices out there that is actually up-to-date for their security patch for February 2016. At least updating the OS also inherently brings whatever patches included with the update. But even then it's a rarity in Android world.

I dont know why people want to update to next Generation OS. Generally next generation software to support for new hardwares (64 bit, Fingerprint sensor,..). At any point of time, next generation is not required for our old devices. We need only software patches in the existing OS.

Lame, asus needs to get their crap together and work more on software instead of releasing 20 phones all with different names and the same specs or slightly different specs.
I will never buy another non nexus phone again because of this crap.
