Jaybird X2 review

28 February, 2016
The Jaybird X2 is a pair of wireless Bluetooth earphones designed for fitness enthusiasts. The headset is the successor to the company's Jaybird BlueBuds X. In reality, they aren't all that different from the BlueBuds X but that's not such a bad thing as the BlueBuds X was one of highest rated Bluetooth earphones around.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY for any price!
I have tried many BT earbuds...these by far sound the best and the connection is great (NO SKIP at all on any BT input device I have used), BUT reliability and durability are very POOR! I have been through 3, yes 3 Jaybirds from the X to the X2 and all have been plagued with problems. Currently sending my third pair back for replacement after 4 months use. Logitech needs to start looking into the quality and reliability of these. If your lucky to get a pair that lasts problem free....enjoy them!

Thanks for a great and honest review. I have just purchased one of these. Haven't even actually put them on yet as they are just finished charging. Have to say I am very surprised about the Over / Under options what with the switching from left to right? Music is created with a left and right channel in mind just like video. I guess non audio files might not notice it but I have worn headphones the wrong way around in the past and found the sound to be strange when the Left Channel was playing in the right ear and visa versa. I don't think I will be able to take advantage of the over ear configuration option. But I think the under ear option will work just fine.

Do these sound nearly as good as the RHA t10? How do they compare in sound quality?

Bought the first BlueBuds X when I had my Xperia V due to it having a flap over the headphone socket. I still use them daily for commute to work and changed to Xperia Z3 compact and Z5 compact in the mean time, but my BlueBuds X is still strong on sound and battery like on the first day. I've never experienced lag with Videos and it always synced volume with all my Android devices I used... so either the author had bad luck with his Android devices or the X2 version got worse!

He's basically alienated the people who might want to buy these headphones that own an android phone by saying that the video sound lags behind on the android devices he tried.

I have been using this headset for nearly a year and had the previous version of the same the year before, so in total for more than 2 years.
The issues mentioned in this review virtually do not exist. I use these with my android phone and have never had video-audio sync issues. The battery life is the best in class considering the size and how compact the headset is. The bass is there however you need to have the right fit. This review seems really bias against the brand. Check out the review on youtube to have a different perspective.

This headphone doesn't work well with samsung phones and i have got it condirmed from Jaybird. They accepted that its a known issue and no solution at this point. The music stops randomly however the Phone kept playing the music. I have faced the issue with my Note Edge. But it works fine with my iphone 6 and Lumia 1520.

I've found the JBL Everest earbuds to be better in every way. Comfort, sound, and microphonics. They're also cheaper too.

""several Bluetooth audio devices have issue keeping sync with video on Android devices.""

Never encounter that, and I never saw anyone else with such problem.

Also volume problem: The same I had lots of devies and I seriously have no idea what you are talking about. If you use volume buttons on BT.... you use system volume... magic?

small battery taking long time to charge actually has extended life
