WTF Samsung. This crap is just a waste of time! You're spoiling the market by soiling yourselves.

If you remember the first ever Samsung Galaxy Tab (alongside the first ever Apple iPad), it had amazing specs then and was actually competing side-by-side Apple's tablet.

What happened now?! No wonder, phablets are gaining attention.

max, 29 Feb 2016The tablet industry is doing bad in this times apparentely.... moreFunny thing is that phones don't even need that much power. The things one can do to a phone is really basic.

Unfortunately the whole things goes with sales. If a segment sells a lot it will get the latest and the greatest even if it hardly matters. A niche segment (like tablets) that would actually benefit from the latest and the greatest (running Linux on them, multiwindow, pen support, etc) are never going to have them.

I have a note tablet from 2013. Samsung has yet to top it. I get 10 hours battery life, pen support and multiwindow. It's started to get slow but that's only because 3GB is little anymore.

Tablets need better specs than phones. So SD820, 6GB, 2560x1600+ resolution should be the minimum. Instead phones get that (check the new vivo) as if the phones would ever use those (really you have to hold a lens to see the detail of 1440p on phones...)

Tabets are not for kids though. Kids don't like reading and mobile gaming is better done in smaller screens. I think it's a mistake that you wanted to give a tablet to kids, IMO it's bad parenting. Give them phones...

I have a Nexus 7 2013 and don't see a point of this new Samsung.
I have 1920x1200 screen and 2GB RAM plus 16GB storage space has latest android OS and lags as usual :D Ok maybe older cpu but I don't understand them anyway. I use this to play few games only to. And it cost me 2 years ago € 150 to so I don't see a point of this lower specs but new and cost a lot more then 3 years old device that will beat it still

The tablet industry is doing bad in this times apparentely.Like really,it's news on that Samsung is launching a tablet with 2011-2012 specs in the year 2016!!!!That's right.2011 specs for a 2016 tablet from Samsung. Is it too much to ask for 2014 specs, because I know 2016 specs won't be in a tablet.I don't think this year I will see a 10 inch 4 k display with the latest processor with 6 GB RAM,256 internal storage and microSD slot that supports up too 200 GB.Nope.This tablet will appear in 3-4 years.By then phones will have freakin 16k displays and 16 GB RAM and 1-2 TB internal memory.
