Android is the best portabl... moreWell don't forget that its a phone and that no matter how powerful they will get, they will maybe never designed for gaming like psv and ps3. Also ps3 is still ridiculously powerful, and any smartphone won't be able to run a ps3 game, yet. And even when they get that powerful, they will heat up like crazy running such demanding games.

I recommend to disable auto frameskip, then set frameskip to 1 or 2. Disable slower effects (it's the name of the setting). Try out other settings too which fit your phone the best.

But I have got ps1 emulation with Google cardboard support, it good and the 3d effect is better than 1st generation 3ds, I also play lots of emulator, snes, pc engine, megadrive, arcade /Mame via usage of ps3 dualshock controller
But for original games, the ps vita and 3ds xl is much better experience overall

It's a great system, I lend my ps vita to a colleague for a few days, he didn't realise that it's qhd, even though he is technically aware of these issues.
The real tactile controls makes the difference and experience much compelling than a mobile game, not to dissimilar to listen music from Bluetooth speaker And comparing it to real separates hifi

Grapics doesnt make a game good, Vita is maybe weak and PS3 also compared to current smartphones, both ps3 and PS Vita have couple of games with better grapics than any smartphone...

Why would anyone buy PSP today? Android is the best portable gaming platform. You can even play PSP games on Android with PPSSPP emulator. Despite the touch controls, it's very well playable.
Today's games are crap on every platform. The most polular games are always crap, for exaple Angry Birds. I hate the FPS games where the health regenerates.
I often play PS1 and PSP games on my Android phone, and only a few Android games (GTA).
I'm waiting for the day when the phones' CPU will be enough fast so I can run Left 4 Dead, Soldier of Fortune 2 and Postal 2 on my phone with DosBox emulator and emulated Windows XP.

My iPad Air 2 64GB is great for gaming and has plenty power to push heavy games.

PS vita main problem is expensive memory card 💳 and physical game copy. Sony using outdated cpu and gpu. Latest phone even mid range phone have better hardware then vita.
PSPPSP was one of thethe revolutionary handheld devices but vita is totally opposite. Ps developers says Bcz of Mobile gaming growth people loss Intrest.... So and so..... But if Sony make new hardware like nvidia k1 with 1gb VRAM and introduce memory card in less price then people can think about purchasing this vita but currently no way.

Emulation in Android is not that stable, and control is nightmare. I have both Note 4 and PSP and i enjoy playing games more on PSP.
my dream handled console will be PSP like form factor with intel core m and x86 os like windows or linux. Core M has decent single thread perfomance i believe emulation wont be a problem.

Can on a phone that has a bigger screen.
Can upscale the resolution.
And it's more portable as you will always have your phone on you, and with save states you can play on the tube or whatever without being worried about losing progress if you have to stop abruptly.

the best thing with this psp we can play ps1 , gameboy , n64 , atari even java game by using custom firmware without any problem
