Nokia vs. Apple :-) Oh where are SonyEricsson/Samsung/HTC/LG fans ? lol
I like Tom messages. We can dislike Apple or iPhone for numerous reasons. I've never bought an Apple product because I don't like MAC, I uses Philips MP3 player (and after my mobile) instead iPod and I don't like to have the same devices "like all people".
Just, we are not *stupid* like I can understand from friend (or others) if we have an other mobile than iPhone.
SonyEricsson(my best now), Nokia, Samsung ... are great too.
And hope for WinMo 7 + Symbian^4/^5 for battle agains iPhone.
YES, iPhone is really easy-to-use. Incredible apps (but 45 weather apps really usefull?), Good design....
Until now, bad features (radio, Flash LED/Xenon) but with iPhone 4G it will be better !!!
iPhone is a GREAT device, but I don't like "closed" environment as Apple make... Yes you can jailbreak. But it's not logical at all to must modify an item for use it as YOU want !

has gsmarena got something against nokia? I do not ask that they shower unworthy praises on the finnish company or their products but when giving benchmark examples for any product or feature, nokia phones seem to be conveniently ignored. Point in case is the comparison of the pixel density of iphone 4g with the likes of HTC HD2 and motorola milestone. When milestone is projected as the highest resolution in terms of pixel density at 265 (rounded of from 264.7), why is the n900 at 266.5ppi ignored from the list of existing phones with high pixel density? Similar is the case for speed, audio quality, etc etc.. I feel that they should be more transparent in pointing out benchmarks.
I'm not trying to project the n900 as the best phone and trying to push it down people's throats.. Everyone has their own tastes, needs and preferences.. Its just the neutrality of gsmarena's posts that i question..

[deleted post]So basically you don't have a mind of your own?? If any significant amount of people have a certain opinion on something you're going to agree with them rather than making you're own mind up.
No point you even arguing against the I-phone if you haven't used it.
Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2010If you want files from someone elses computer you can log i... moreUsing your point of Nokia having ovi suite, that is what makes Nokia the best giving users multiple options in terms of how they want to transfer data.
Nokia can use a microSD card reader where the card is ejected and inserted to the USB reader which is plugged into the computer.
Nokia can use Ovi Suite.
Nokia can use Mass Storage Allowing Free Access
Nokia can use microUSB OTG to transfer the data giving users freedom.
I'm not sure about the other companies but I doubt they can compare.

David, 01 Jun 2010There is actually a investigation going on in the European ... moreThere are thousands of "outside developers" developing for iPhones and selling through iTunes store, there is nothing to stop people developing for iPhones if they want.
The Swedish court are lackeys of the movie industry, look what they did to Pirate Bay, throwing people in jail for nothing.

[deleted post]If you want files from someone elses computer you can log in to mobile me and upload them then access them from your iPhone, you can use other services as well e.g. Dropbox.
iTunes also syncs all your calendars and contacts as well as making a backup of everything from messages to the call register.
Your SonyEricsson won't do that without using SonyEricssons software which is pretty bad, especially the Walkman versions, Nokia uses OVI suite, LG has probably the worst one of all, all phones usually come with a suite of syncing software, why do you think manufacturers bother making it?

Heartbreak Kid, 01 Jun 2010Oh I'll admit I love the iPhone! I don't need need a phone ... moreWay to talk out of both sides of your mouth.
You vehemently defend, seemingly to the death, that the iPhone fits every criteria you need, but at the same time, when I say that the iPhone no longer fits my required criteria, then you are suddenly baffled, I'm confused & I don't know what I want.
Are you so myopic that you can't even fathom that someone's needs & wants could possibly change after 3 years?
As for your argument about getting an iPhone 3 different times, when all this time, I really wanted a HW QWERTY...how many TS+QWERTY devices were available from the time the 2G was released, to the time the 3Gs was released?
The answer is ONE...the Nokia E90. How would I possibly know if I liked something without ever trying it out? Can you grasp that notion, or were you certain that you would absolutely love the iPhone simply because it was made by Apple?
@FJR6....I don't recall saying that I didn't like connecting to iTunes, I stated I was merely tired of having to conduct every single media transfer via iTunes.
Also, why are you just spouting off incoherently by putting words in my mouth? Where did I credit myself for the creation of the iPhone?. You truly have no idea what you are even talking about. As for telling me which articles I can & cannot voice my opinion in....nice try. You are starting to sound exactly like good ol' Mr. Jobs, or should I say Führer Jobs?....LOL

[deleted post]You can't deny that the iPhone is one of the best phones out there. Don't say it's crap because it obviously isn't. Powerful CPU with dedicated graphics, large screen with the best multitouch of any phone, seamless, stable interface, 100,000 apps. What sucks about this phone? Locked down software? I'd rather have stability and consistent experience than a few customization options. Low screen resolution? The new iPhone will trump literally every single other phone in that department. No flash? I've seen flash on mobile phones and even netbooks, and it is extremely inefficient and unstable. Besides, where one person says he wouldn't miss multitouch, I say I don't need flash. iPhone haters are quickly running out of things to criticize. Soon enough they'll have nothing left but to start making up problems, not that they don't already.

I hope you enjoy your Experia10. I'll happily enjoy my iPhone, along with millions of other people :)

Heartbreak Kid, 01 Jun 2010I live in the UK, which u know is part of the EU, the iPhon... moreIt's an ongoing investigation about banning the iPhone in Europe from November 2009. It started with alot of iPhones exploding all over the place and hurting people. Now the complaints from big software companies over free trade in the union has added to the woes, cause any kind of financial monopoly is not allowed in the Union. Thus the software "lock" on the iPhone set by Apple is illegal. This is just from todays paper. if you have patience, you might read it England to later today or tomorrow..

David, 01 Jun 2010There is actually a investigation going on in the European ... moreI live in the UK, which u know is part of the EU, the iPhone is probably the most popular handset in the country. So this news you heard must be so crazy rumour as if this was anyway true, this would have made national news!

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2010So you're unhappy with your past 3 iphones. Are you still ... moreIf u read my comments, I'm equally baffled like you lol
I mean he got the phone 3 times n now doesn't like it as he prefers a hard keyboard. IMO a hard keyboard kinda defeats the object of a touchscreen!
Honestly all this is like me buying a Vauxhall Corsa 3 times then saying I hate it because the boot isn't that big and that it didn't have roof that came down!!!! Lol

[deleted post]There is actually a investigation going on in the European Union Trade and Finance court over banning the iPhones from the European Union member countries cause Apple violates the freedom of open market trade and software developement.
I read it just this other day in Industry Today, a Swedish finance paper. I don't exactly know how it works with the laws but unless people don't have free choice of buying software etc from a outside developer it's goes against the European open trade agreement.
Every consumer should have choice of choosing supplier for their hardware and every software developer should have the freedom to make software available for the iPhone, then it's up to the the individual owner to stay loyal to Appstore or look somewhere else.

[deleted post]Lol at least you admitted you have never used an iphone!!!!! That makes as your argument against the iPhone is pathetic. I mean I was so sure u used that ridiculas iDont list, combined with a pathetic review by 1 person at cnet.co.uk. This person is another hater like u. Clueless. He/she based their comments on their own individual taste, not thinking what the majority think, used the worlds dumbest list aka the idont list n hey presto came out with a rubbish article.
I don't think u even had an iPod touch. Your hatred for Apple is very unhealthy. No one should hate a brand this much, especially when the brand hasn't affected u personally. To hate Apple this much means deep down u really wanted an iPhone but couldn't get one for any reason, therefore u feel the need to bash Apple n it's users to gain personal satisfaction, mainly to justify u having an alternative handset that was 2nd, maybe 3rd choice to the iPhone.
Stop ur anger before it drives u insane mate. Remember it's only a mobile phone at the end of the day. Probably a little bit better than ur phone of course, but I wish u the best in abeing able to afford an iPhone in the future.

[deleted post]You only need to install itunes to one computer and you're done. Why? What kind of files are you referring to? As far as I know, you need an application or a program to open any file and you also would need to install that application or program on each computer if you have multiple computers.
With the iphone, you don't even have to do anything to move files. Just hook up your iphone to your computer and it will automatically sync all your files. What's so complicated about that?
As for photos, they look really good when you move them from your computer to your iphone, so I don't know what you're talking about photos looking extremely bad. I'm not even aware that it compresses the photos. They look just fine and far from looking crappy.
I really do not know how you use your phone, but I don't have to install anything on my iphone. It works just fine out of the box. It's the easiest and simplest device I've ever used. And a lot of users love their iphones as well. Maybe you don't, but why get upset?
I do not agree with you in implying that the iphone is for simpletons. Every user has preferences and have different tastes.
Your argument is nothing more than an exaggerated one from a bitter and hateful person. The iphone sells because it works for a lot of users. It's as simple as that.
