AnonD-506194, 07 Mar 2016simply because the Mi5 got all of its hits at once followed... moredon't get confused by the number of hits,yes mi5 has 6 million and s7 has 5 million hits,there's something called rumor mill in gsmarena where the rumored specs of phone are listed. xiaomi mi5 rumored specs has been in gsmarena since a year where as s7 got into gsmarena just a month ago ,so 6 mil hits is the total accumulated page views .but in this list it contains most serched phone this week.

Their last years P8 sold nicely in Europe, Mate 8 sold pretty decently...and guess what? They cost less than high end phones with top specs. You're forgetting about something. Samsung kinda becomes Apple of Android world. You pay for the brand. That's all there is to it. Last time I went Samsung, it was S3. At that time the price was very competitive. Hence the huge success. Nothing changed since then in terms of build quality. They are just charging for brand, that currently is #1 in the world. They still make the same good quality phones, but right now, so is the competition.

Well, anyone would to reflect that poll trends, would have different results.
Depending on many parameters, survey, exit, as the one who makes it, is not so GSMARENA ?
For me, in top level on first position, is Sony, LG, XIAOMI, in second level is Vivo, Meizu, Huawei,Oppo, in three position level is Alcatel, Lenovo,Microsoft..
