mir, 03 Mar 2016This has a flagship price tag, FYI.For some reason, the price of a9 on online stores in our country is very cheap. It's original (meaning not a fake phone or china phone) but doesn't have samsung warranty. In our case, the warranty is what usually gives the luxurious price of the phone. Almost 100-200$ cut off if you buy from a non-regulated store. And since a9 is not globally available, i can only get one online.
A9 in online stores cost around 22,000 while a5 is 15,000 a8 is 18,000.
In regulated stores, a5 costs 20,000 and a8 is already 24,000. Huge difference in price.
And guess what, note5 is like 27,000 w/o warranty, and 35,000 w/ warranty!

I cannot stand the glass back, and the placement of everything on the bottom, and the camera bump (and the fact that it's square). It's decent, but it's not great.

this is the only samsung phone that has really gotten my attention. flagships are good, but are flagships with flagship prices nonetheless. this one is different from the others. midrange price with flagship qualities is something to celebrate about. too bad it's not yet (will it ever be?) released to other regions.
