Who's gonna pay twice for sh!tty one plus for roughly same specs. And one plus isn't a great brand also which can ride on their brand value.

This is one of those damn good phones from Xiaomi at an exceptional price (like MI3 was when it was launched in India). Hard to see the demand reducing even after 6 months, to force Xiaomi to sell the left over stocks in open sale, with no takers for them in flash sales.

Reasons:
i) It has only 2 powerful Cortex A72 cores, the rest are Cortex A53 cores (less powerful ones).
ii) Huawei for the first time successfully delivered a powerful SoC with 4 Cortex A72 cores (albeit on 16nm process compared to 28nm process for SD 650) without heating issues.
So I am still assuming Cortex A72 cores will not heat up much and it is a well designed architecture. With just 2 of them, SD 650 might be very well efficient even at its peak load. My theory is - if Huawei can do it well, chances of Qualcomm messing it up is very less.
