Update infected by several reason and one is your SIM operator (you probably has locked phone) your operator make some final chances to the OS (own logo at startup and ....)

Thanks!!!My experience (living in Austria and also had stayed in Scandinavia almost two years back) the update hit my phone over the air (OTA) around one month after seeing post like this. I have stopped panic and just wait. There can be several reason f.ex. your SIM operator. I newly mowed to T-mobile and maybe they quicker. I have Z3 and had Z1 before.
By the way, I have no computer for several years and cant check for update via computers software like many others here do :-) "Z5 premium" you get ur update within few week and maybe sooner

...and, don't forget to turn-off the auto-sync under Settings-Accounts. It'll definitely have a big impact on battery life.

Don't restore all your apps and phone settings. Do a factory reset, erase everything. And update a fresh MM. You'll be surprised how fast Z5, battery life improved as well. Fingerprint sensor works flawlessly. Lastly, proceed installing apps.

In battery saver you need to open specific app to start sync.like whats app. In stamina even if not white listed it used to sync once screen is on. Even with battery saver on no improvement on battery life draining as before. 12 hr max with moderate to low use. Thats bad.

Absolutely ridiculous. Sony is just creating its grave by incremental killing of its best differentiating features. The very complex and effective stamina mode is gone in Marshmallow. Ofcourse gone the ultrastamina mode also. Battery saver was there to earlier for low battery state along with stamina. Now you have to live with it only from 100% beginning.
