They will have to pry the M8 from my cold, dead hands before I switch to a new device. The HTC One M9 was not compelling enough to make me want to upgrade my devices. I hope that the new version of the flagship product from HTC will excite me enough to want to spend for a new phone. I have also been researching the Robin phones but haven't been convinced that it is worth the expense.

I wonder how much cost they could shave off the phone for having it not equipped with BoomSound speakers. If there's relatively no adjustment in retail price, HTC may not be executing a sudden death of their own but could be closer to their grave

You can bet your bottom dollar there will be a whole bunch of follow ups after this has launched and this is what puts me off buying an HTC phone. Why can't they just stick to this and a plus version at most? Last year was the worst with so many variants of the M9. Sales people would probably have thought to themselves to save the hassle and try to sell another flagship instead. I'll wait and see the camera reviews and if there will be another variant coming in its wake.

I think what HTC makes great is that they provide great user experience ( software) and the design along with steady and durable charm hardware, That being said...

Cost and differentiation competition is immense, People respond to new innovations...

A good camera and the rumored specs like the processor, display ram should make it a great choice, if not the greatest

If only they had met the customers expectations consistently....but they kind of dint and HTC's marketing was poor

But i might get the htc 10, htc has never failed me and my crap lg g2 and g3 had display issues, used the note 4/5 and the g6 and iphone 6s
Note 4/5 - are very good phones ( best phablets for no doubt !)but its a bit too big and the user interface isnt charming and i never get to use all its features.. so it doesnt make sense for me to have a note

s6 has the best display but its a bit slippery and not a fan of glass panels

Iphone 6s has its simplicity and unmatched convenience in using the phone with solid hardware and i did feel like there is an emotional attachment to the pone :). Even though i admire there software, i have the need of to downloading songs/videos and files from my mobile, i need to open the root folder and move files and use an SD card

HTC was ahead in terms of my requirements, But i hope to godthe camera is improved this time around !

Shred, 08 Mar 2016I really hope these are not the final images and that all l... moreI agree. I think HTC nailed it in regards to the design of the M7 and M8.
I've had all HTC One series starting from M7 (which apparently is my very first HTC phone).

I bought an HTC One M9+ (as the regular M9 is not available in my region) and currently using HTC One A9.

By far, the very best looking HTC phone for me is M7 followed by M8 > A9 > M9+
Although all of them look very appealing.

Oh Well, I Will Just Stick With My M8 , and Buy A New Battery And Chargering Port For It. I Am All About The Music, I Could Care Less About The Camera. Sorry Maybe When They Make A Phone That Pertains To Music, Or Put Boomsound Back. But If They Don't Thats OK. I Will Keep Buying A Battery Every 2 Two Years. And A New Charge Charging Port. Oh Well.... I Will Save My Up Grade For A Phone I Want Down The Road.
