You have to remember that the encryption case is being handled by the courts as well. If you think the courts are biased to the point they would make all this up somehow (even when the evidence is visible), why wouldn't they have just made Apple cooperate for the encryption case?
And the courts themselves are independent from each other too.

The court might be just harrased Apple as part of the san bernardino case! If Apple just did participated with the US goverment, I don't think that this would happen to Apple at all... and also I don't think that Apple could do this cos this would damage its reputation and also Apple has a lot of money so this is really unimaginable! US goverment = biased!!!

Finger-print, I agree, Apple was the (not very, but) first and Android followed. Let's see some other stuff. Notification area? Android first. Quick Access system controls? Android first. Real Multi-Tasking (Apple still doesn't quite have it)? Android first. 16:9 aspect sceen? Android first.
Also, the thing is that Apple fans might not use the word innovation much, but who announce and advertise the products, they do.

For me it is an iMoney sucking machine and there isn't any thing developed by apple worth for human kind. They just packaged their products using technologies developed by others. They don't even pay them for using their technology, that's why they are sued every year multiple times. Most thing apple copy only the basic feature that all phone must have. But look what android copy back what apple did. Like 64bit, that time all i see android phone just increase a lot of core and their speed but after apple introduce 64 bit , suddently all android phone used 64 bit. Like touch id , we all know motorola already did it 2 3 years ago , but did other android phone have that that time? Now we can see some android phone have that finger print. Even apple now using 12mp camera , android fan also said copy from android ... Seriously ?

Do I also have to mention waterproofing for their iPhone 7? The OLED screen which is popularized by android? The stencil? In which they called it the "the pencil"... APPLE hasn't innovated on anything, they just get the technology from other manufacturers then tweak them and call them "INNOVATION" which isn't even true.

This is one of the most horrible news of this year... I think the American goverment is behind this and they really wanted Apple to loose cus we know that Apple is fighting with US goverment since Apple refuses to help them participate in San Bernardino case by unlocking the terrorist iphone. this might be the reason why Apple keep loosing court battles since this happen, I guess...
