It's going to be a mid-range offering for sure, but it's still unclear how it will be branded.

If it's priced competitively with a decent design and microSD card support I can see it being a mildly attractive option. However, no tablet really looks all that decent compared to the far more productive Windows hybrids that are out there like the outstanding Surface devices. Android and iOS tablets are fading into the background. I'm just waiting for Apple and/or Google to evolve. The iPad Pro doesn't know what it's supposed to be and the Pixel C is still massively flawed simply because Android isn't competent enough.

My Point Exactly. Pen / Tablet does not mix.

Once you put a pen into a tablet, ie.. Note, Note10 Note8, notess, the pen is Flimsy, thin and useless.. because they have to CRAMP that crap into a tablet!! Good for occasional notes, NEVER for drawing, even less for other things!

Apple / MS took that component out, making it optional, SURE it increase chance of getting lost, or drop. But the PEN perform Much much much better, because it got grip, size, weight and feel!.. just like a normal drawing pen and paper.

pen is good for drawing, and "alternative" for taking notes (which why don't you just type)
having right size or bigger tablet give spacious feel and enjoyment in drawing

if you use pen just for taking notes or fooling around, just buy small phone and separated pen like the others do. it would result the same

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2016Pen is only useful on a big screen. What are you talking... moreArtist WANTS to DRAW.. not take notes. No one wants a flimsy pen, nor do they want a fat block tablet!

MS / Apple simply just give you an option to buy a good pen, so you can draw when you feel the urge.

What are you talking about? Both Microsoft and Apple went that way because pen ONLY makes sense in a big screen. Millions of artists are dying for this feature, you are exactly wrong.

One want fatness, the other want thinness.

Thats why samsung drop the giant note series... No one buys.. all just go for cheaper tab or the tab pros.

2GB of ram on a tablet is low end, not mid range stop misinforming people.

At any given moment a tablet has to draw a lot more than a phone. So 2GB is just enough to hold the basic information in front of you. In fact my 3GB tablet has frequent reloads. Ram is very important on Android but in tablets twice as much...

Another fail tablet from Samsung. And to think that they were making masterpieces like the note tablets... so sad :/

In my op... moreLike CD's and DVD's and even BD's end, because now HDD and SSD eat them alive! this guy are right, tablet's have theyr day's ended...people end up with smaller screens mobiles and tablet's are doing nothing right now! The initial idea is: with a tablet you have a PC everywhere...but now i only see people with 5.5/6 inch smartphones and nothing of tablet's so what's the point to do a mid-range tablet with overpriced tag?? (all people know aiple and sammy are overprice theyr things because love to steal the consumer but this tablet is useless...like the crappy 18.4 tablet sammy did few months ago).

I would consider if it was 4k. my qhd 32gb tablet is hi-end for now it seems. Apple(and maybe some others like lenovo) wins in this field, ipads are released same way as iphones - regularly, and they do not downgrade it. Pretty laughing matter considering samsung wants/ed to best apple.
