divis200, 10 Mar 2016It's not google that decides about changing resolutions, it... moreits the mindset of NOT accepting phones as JUST phones is what made them SMART today and that same mindset will continue to push the boundaries for the future, sony already made this possible in xperia you can change resolution

if android can make for gimmicky features such as force touch, VR content is also pretty limited and yet the get attention i dont see why a resolution changing/or even color changing cant get some spotlight

how interesting of you to shut down the benefits of resolution change, "of course its not going to happen" there is no disadvantage of this feature, if you sir/madam dont want to "waste" resolution guess what you could do?? just not change your resolution :O and those who want to could just change it... AnonD-19153, 10 Mar 2016GOOGLE! we want to be able to change the resolution of our... moreIt's not google that decides about changing resolutions, it's the device maker. To make device run on lower resolution, everything from pictures to icons needs to be remade what can't be currently done on android with 1 press. But about changing screen resolution, what do you expect from it? Better battery life? Of course it's not going to happen. Better gameplay experience? There aren't many apps (in your case i can guarantee games, because there is nothing that can run worse on android except them) if any, that won't run at least 30fps on android. You also said "we", which is not accurate. I wouldn't want to waste screen resolution if my phone runs everything 60fps. It would be just a waste. When will people understand that phone is a phone and while you can do some productive stuff, it's not suitable device for games and it most likely won't be for at least the next few years. If you have other reasons for changing resolution, tell me, because i don't see any.

Wow the splitscreen is nice addition.Ive always wanted it in Nexus devices. But I am gonna go with mi5 because Nexus 6p still cost 35000 rs for 32 gb version AND mi5 will launch the pro version at 30000 rs max.Although Nexus has a QHD amoled display and front facing speakers IT cannot justify 47000 rs price tag for 128 gb version. It has a qualcomm snapdragon and only 3gb ram.Even galaxy S7 would cost 50000 -55000rs.I think huawei should lower the price substantially(Like atleast the same price as Xiaomi mi5 and should sell the 128 GB version lower than 30000 rs.Then i would totally go for Nexus 6p.

So they are basically 'copying' some of the best bits of windows and ios.. nothing new or innovative in there.

Windows does it. iOS does it. Samsung has been doing it since the days dinosaurs walked the Earth.

                        Seriously? thats too hyperbolic. LOL

All those improvements will be removed by manufacturer's uglification (custom UI).
