These kiddos today... just making statements with no background and no sense just for the sake of spreading hate.

Reliable unlocking despite slightly moist fingers is of higher priority. I am surprised how little it takes before the current generation of fingerprint-sensors refuse to cooperate.

0.2 seconds? Who cares? If it's not accurate and secure, it's useless. Oppo is just the same bullshit even if it would have all the best specs in a phone.

I too like the front solid button with fingerprint scanner - uses up the useless bottom bezel & means u can unlock quicker when the phone is down.
Unfortunately this device is not available in the western world yet. But it and its specs look good for the price. A bit featureless but definitely good value. Keep em comin Oppo :)

does fingerprint reader speed still matter these days when its already fast?

March, 11 Mar 2016Huawei Mate 7 finger print 0.1s last year. Now 0.2 s for what? This is Oppo. That is Huawei. Not the same. They can't use what Huawei used. You want to see Oppo get sued by Huawei?

Even 0.1 is too slow for me. That's why i totally Disable it. No lock screen either. Now you cant get any faster than that. //sarcasm

Doesn't really matter if it's 0.2 or 0.5 seconds. Not a lot of diffetence there. But it looks like China is attacking mobile market with a full force this year, pushing more phones outside of their borders. I'm at this age, when I can still remember times of "Chinese cheap knock offs" in all forms and shapes. But in terms of technology? It becomes hard to call it like that these days.

I wonder when will we see a real innovation again? Maybe in 2-3 years something noteworthy
