I don't see any problem with this tablet. For this price you cannot expect anything really better, do you ? I am looking for a cheap 7 or 8" tablet mostly to take notes or web browsing; do you have another model to recommend? Thanks.

This is not a flagship.. I don't know why you guys are getting so upset.
Samsung is well known for creating shitty phones with larger displays with pitiable resolution and sell it for a higher price to idiots who only look at the size of the screen and the name of the brand..
While they have great flagships, they do sell such ridiculous models to people who are not well versed with technology.

Remember the first ever Samsung tablet - the Samsung Galaxy Tab? The one that went head-to-head with Apple's first ever iPad tablet? I miss "that" Samsung making a "that-time" flagship tablet.

Very sad. When is Samsung going to listen to the people. I have a Galaxy Tab A with S-pen and love it. It actually makes a great business tablet. I used it every day. I love the 4:3 ratio and 9.7 inch size. The resolution could be bumped up a little bit, but otherwise a great tablet. Now they are going to ruin it, Smaller screen, no S-pen. What is wrong with them? Maybe a Tab S2 with S-pen with the 4:3 ration at 9.7 inch screen. Then u get my attention. Going out now to buy a few extra Tab A with S-pen (2015). Just in case.

I know Samsung produce good ... moreTab s2 8.0 is the fastest android device I've used.
They need more tabs like tab s2 and not this new junk. Tab s2 8.0 is faster than note 5 in every aspect including basic commands and Web page loading.
It.s also a shame that microphone on tab s2 is only on top of of the tablet (impossible to use the tab as a phone without Bluetooth or headset) , otherwise I would have bought the phone version of tab s2 8.0

I bought an asus me176c nearly 2 years ago which is on lollipop and you are still telling me samsung tablets are offering the same in 2016 for twice the price and same specs. Even my old moto G 2013 has the same specs. What the heck, Samsung. Not even AMOLED. Funny thing is AMOLED is supposed to be cheaper to manufacture, so why are devices offered with AMOLED more expensive? JEEZ Samsung get it together.

They are slowly loosing lower and midrange market. In 2016, they are still giving 1.5 gb of ram. they dont have any good midrange device. A5(2016)'s price is too high.
