No-one has mentioned the elephant in the room, which is all the bloatware and Googleware that is part of Android Lollipop.
Sony needs to get Marshmallow working well on its phones, fully debugged and robust before release. And do it fast. Otherwise they'll be losing customers for many, many years.

Although I hasn't notice any problems with my battery. My phone run just fine prepared to my old Z1. Maybe it could be better, I don't know but I doesn't notice any problem and it will only be bonus for me if Marshmallow will ingress my battery life :-)

My Z... moreZ3 has issue with ussd code and battery drain when they released android 5.1 version.u can check it out in Google and some one has already made video regarding ussd issue and you can check in gsm arena to.Sony took around 2 months to fix that issue.what the funny thing is iam using a prepay sim and i cant check for balance in my simcard so what i learnt is check blogs before updating a phone.when i first brought this phone battery back up is excellent but now i am feeling its not good as kitkat a little idle drain is there thank you

The Sony Android 6.0 Marshmallow update that Sony just pushed is defective. Do not install the update OTA. You could lose the ability run google services, update applications and delete applications. Your applications on the SD card will break. Your phone will crash when you receive a text message. Once again, SONY HAS FAILED to build reliable software. Avoid this update. Do not install.

Just watch Z2, Z3,Z5 coment sect... moreIf you read comments fro those that owns others phones (Samsung, HTC, LG ...) you see same huge lode of complaints every update so that isn't only related to Sony. I think Sony do pretty well even nothing can be perfect

I have Z3 and Z1 and love them both but Z3 is better anyhow. I guess Z5 is great my brother have one and I would really like to have one.

Me 2 having no problems at all. My Z3 running flawless on all updates and still on 5.1.1, also my old Z1. "Varun46" Something is wrong with ur phone! This problem is Not Sony's firmware update

"...going as far back as the Z3..." ? It's a 1.5 year old smartphone, I think you are going too far suggesting that it's obsolete.
