Samsung wave runs Bada OS which is relatively new, and have only few app (less than 1000, i think) currently. Sumsamg Galaxy S runs on Android 2.1, which is going to be upgraded to 2.2 in july or august with FULL flash support. Android market is raising (with more and more quality apps, but apple apps store is still the best currently)

basically the new trend now is people start using brands like htc, blackberry or iphone. when you are still using nokia, ppl will ask surprisingly "huh?!! you're still using nokia!". Seems like using nokia is an out-of-dated thing...

I wanna see Apple getting sued by the in European Commission by US Department of Justice and the U.S. Courts , they are doing everything to deserve it. Microsoft was sued... Apple does, yet apple seems to get away with it. There is no playing field, it’s Steve Jobs ball and if you don’t play his way he will just leave and take the ball with him.
The reality distortion field must fall.

I'm pretty sure the chip is the same. You should be able to turn a normal USIM into a micro-SIM by cutting it out, or getting an adapter the other way round.
Phones need to be compatible with a variety of SIM types, but I could be wrong.

Ok people just don't get it. I write a whole logical argument as to why this phone is quality and all I get is your uneducated and get told what OS's the other brands use and that it's nothing new... *sigh*. I don't get why people hate this phone, but then I do, they pick a team, want to be different and are completely blinded as to what makes this phone so good. I am not going to go on this time but I'll leave you with this... A Ferrari and a Toyota are both cars, they both have engines, both have seats, both have doors and both have a steering wheel. The Toyota has 4 doors vs 2, it has sat nav as standard, both have navigation buttons on the wheel, both have 18" wheels, the Toyota has room for 5 vs 2, the Toyota has a bigger boot and the Ferrari isn't as safe... But which one is better? It's not whats in it, it's how well it does it. Samsung/Nokia/LG are like Toyota, Apple are like Ferrari, they do the powerful things we want right. Don't call me a Fanboy either, hate it, it's just cheap. I've used Nokia's, Samsungs, HTC's, Android, Symbian, Winmo etc and none have impressed me like the iPhone. An example of this was I had a Nokia 5800, had Wifi already on, typed in a website and hit 'go'. I then walked over to my iPhone 3G, yes just a 3G, turned wifi on, opened safari, typed in the same website and hit go and much to my surprise it was fully open before the Nokia had even loaded half the page... That is how I convinced 3 of my mates to grab this phone.

positive: apple addressed many problems i had with the oringal iphone Mainly the lack of a camera flash
negative: nice hardware, but this is all old technology that apple is spicing up to sound new... kudos to them for making the old sound new again,

My year old Samsung i8910 pretty much best this 'new' iPhone 4. Yeah, it doesn't run iOS. However, I don't really care!

Some people are calling the unveiling of the phone "historical" I think that's a huge overstatement. That doesn't mean this phone is awesome. It's one of the thinnest smartphones out there, it's battery life is (hopefully) improved, and the integration of apple's services, with the addition of a great hardware camera seems to be a huge achievement. The phone is super sexy and has a gorgeous screen with hd video recording. This phone kicks ass.

Pfft, how is this a step up?
Video calling... its over the WiFi... thats a fail. It makes it completely pointless seeing as only other iphone 4 users can talk on it, thus you and your friends must have both an iphone 4, and wifi access. Compared to 95% of the rest of the phone market, where video calling, is infact actualy CALLING, its a really dumb choice.
Micro-sim; Say your iphone dies (which is not out of the norm for any phone), you now have a usim which is not supported by most brands of phones and means you will most likely have to use a replacement iphone 4 in most countrys, or get your sim card changed to a normal sim until you get you're iphone back. Alternatively you can go waste some money on buying a sim sleave so that it will fit normal phones. There really is no point to this venture, seeing as its the exact same sim card, just with less plastic surrounds!
And don't even get me started on the fact that you still have to do a long winded process to get your own custom ring-tones on the thing. Hopefully the new ios 4 will change that, but i don't have high hopes.
