Every Vivo I've used (including several Blu phones that are actually rebranded Vivo's) have been INSANELY EASY TO ROOT. Most have been vulnerable to app level exploits (i.e. Towelroot with correct modstrings) to get rw-755 system permissions to install su binaries. I don't know about the R9 & R9+, but if their past is any indicator of their future, it should be cake.

With that price range, I don't see any reason to go for this phone. Xiaomi mi5 has sd820 and priced similar.

1080p for a 6 inch'er, a bit underwhelming, but I guess for a midrange device at 400 bucks it's not too bad !!

dude, seriously. everyone copying everyone. there is nothing new here.
apple copy, samsung copy, another 42345343 phone maker copying each other too. android copy, ios and windows also copy stuff. as long as we get what we want, what is the problem. although I agree no name like OPPO should not put premium price tags on their devices.
don't be a fanboy, company don't care about you. they care about your MONEY. As if they PAY you for defending them in internet.
