Samsung Galaxy S7 keeps region lock, but that shouldn't concern you

You have to call the country you wish to unlock it for, for a cumulative of 5 minutes to unlock the region. (according to the manual included with my middle east phone) To be safe I'd make one five minute or longer international call to the country you'd like to use it in. The manual does not sieving whether this should be a mobile or landmine number.
To late for me. I used a uk sim and now my phone is not even turning on. I found the instructions now but wish I'd read them earlier and not been so excited.

I received a galaxy j7 which was bought in Italy, unfortunately it wasn't activated before it was sent to me. I live in Ghana, Africa. please how do i unlock the sim because it is blocked and i do not have an Italian sim card.

Im with the UK prov... moreIf you're on a UK carrier, I bet you've used the phone in Europe, in which case you're fine in that regard, as the article clearly states. But if you're on a UK carrier, it doesn't matter if the phone is unlocked--does that carrier have towers in Hong Kong..?

I bought Samsung S7 SM-G930FD from Malaysia and was confirmed as "regional lock". In order to "regional unlock" ... have to call local number and talking "non stop" for 10 minutes in order to unlock that "regional lock" and no other options for "regional unlock" ...

I bought G935FD which I think made in Taiwan for South East Asia region (whatever countries are covered in that description). The phone works fine in U.K. but won't connect when I'm in Dubai or US .

I do have a Sam sung w8 but I forgot the pattern and then its over draw that why its locked and I forgot my google account to unlock it that why I really need the code please to unlock SM-930F

I have a Samsung SM G-935S (South Korea) and used it the first time with a Eruopean SIM Card from T-Mobile!
The Phone works fine, Mobile Date, LTE e.g.
The problem I am facing is, I cant turn on the "Data Roaming" option under Network Settings in the menu!
This feature is grey, and the switch cant be activated or deactivated.
Now I think this might be as a reason of the Region SIM Lock (as the phone was used with a non Korean SIM)
However I did not need a SIM Unlock code, but cant turn on Mobile Data Roaming!
Samsung Europe has no answers for me, can any one help and let me know a solution, also one I pay for?

Hello,
First way is to make or receive a call with a local sim card when you are in one of the countries of your phone's region.
Second way is to email Samsung Support some information, then they will send you unlock code. It’s free. Check here to learn how to unlock region lock:

You would find this G930F model at Walmart and Best Buy. You have to be specific and ask for this unlocked model only.

I have bought a Samsung S7 edge in the Netherlands and will take it to Turkey (without opening the box due to customs tax restrictions). Can I use it in Turkey with a Turkish SIM card? Is Turkey considered as part of the European SIM card region?

Can I also use this EU-locked Galaxy S7 (edge) (SM-930F / SM-935F), after the unlock is done, in the US? Because they have different chipsets? I heard that the Exynos chipset won't work in the US, but don't know if that's true. And what about the other way around? Will a US S7 (edge) work in the EU?

Hey, I bought in Poland S7 edge. I tried tu use my phone first time in Vietnam (ASIA). But my S7 denied cooperation with local SIM. Then I found this webpage. I put in Polish SIM and I called my friend located in Europe using ROAMING. So I was in ASIA and I called by POLISH SIM. After 5 minutes and few seconds I finished my call. I changed SIM to Vietnamese and my S7 showed signal on antenna icon but still was question of PIN to unlock the SIM. So I restarted my phone and ITS WORKS !!! Thank you.
