      $420 equals premium phone.

Hopefully is has beaut build quality. Like the Nokias it will likely be up against.

Success with them on this, good luck.
(Oops ignore this post, that price is from an older unit methinks, an android mid tier product)

        10.0.10586 !

Does that make it 'desktop Windows"?

Well more Windows units will allow M$to quote more "win 10" installs and might get more developers onboard to optimise for direct x12. Which may get better optimisation for Xbox one, which in turn might help them in the console war...

I say this as, blinkers on, every decision I have seen them do since Xbox one launch has been desperation to hold onto 'number one' spot in a console war.
Which for this generation they gimped themself hard.

Anyhow maybe win mobile can grow to double digit market share.
If M$ recent software allowing rapid across platform development holds any weight (they dropped android support??) iOS apps, coming across by the boatload, will help them have an application rich platform.

Throw in easy FLAC support and easy access to gmail (without having to use a web browser) and I would be happy... (admittedly I haven't checked in on these features in awhile; they might be doable easily now).

Until now, Win phones desirability has been for many, being on Nokia hardware.

They have tried to have tiers;cheap Nokia androids, with win phone seen as premium.
Be nice if they could stay in the market, as I do like seeing Nokia 'on the shelf'.

Good luck, perhaps this can bring prices down, and maybe Win phone will find a new group of users.... More users.

        A user.
