Vodafone and O2 have the best network coverage, but o2 have a poor network capacity (hence the network crashing). Therefor Vodafone is top dog with the network. To say that 3 has the best network is laughable!

i believe 3's strategy upon entering the UK market was to take it on the chin to begin with (poor network coverage and poor customer service in return for low prices) but they did it for long term customer benefit.

they now have THE most comprehensive 3g network in the UK (according to OFCOM) and O2 have one of the worst.

this says more about APPLE's strategy than 3's.

I work for three and its great news that were gettin the i phone. And as for the people who say were a poor man's network maybe they should realise that were a value network, we offer better deals than o2 and vodafone, thats why their customers r coming to us instead of renewing their contract, and as for our coverage ofcom have ran a test and we r the best network out there so hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

It's astounding how much bickering the iPhone seems to create.

@Blight, the only reason why there's a lot of hate going on is that the world isn't just the USA. It's a lot larger than a comparatively backward market.

It's true that many phones have forward facing cameras and capable of doing video conferencing. But here in the US I would really like someone, and I'm being serious and not sarcastic, to list for me all the US released mobile phones and/or US mobile phone companies that offer any kind of video conferencing for everyday use now. Thats why I love to hear the "oh, apple is just bringing out old technology thats already been here" speeches. Well God d*mn it, it's about time someone put that old technology to everyday capability around here. Enjoy hating, but please folks... hate responsibly :).
